of $47 million for port and transit security when compared to the previous year's budget. what does this all mean? just funny numbers? joining me now is the chairperson of new york's community board one and also host of "give and take" here in new york. it's interesting because this $47 million is coming from the stimulus package. and we just came out of that town hall where we heard president obama talking about the stimulus package, how he wants to create jobs with it. so when we hear that it's going to fight terrorism, while that's great, we need money to fight terrorism, we need homeland security. what does it tell us about the distribution of this money? >> well, the stimulus money first of all should go to job creation, not funding terrorism. and the reason why is because this is a one shot deal, the stimulus money. if they use the stimulus money to fund terrorism in new york city or antiterror measures i should say that will not be able to get restored in terms of funding for next year and the year after. that's my concern. what washington is talking about
