captured this incredible video of the worst tornado there. it was a mile and a half wide funnel that packed 160-mile-an-hour winds. i'm joined via skype by reed timer, extreme storm chaser from the discovery channel. thank you for joining us. >> thank you for having me. >> tell me what you saw. >> we first intercepted the storm near the mississippi river. we knew it was large on the ground because the atmosphere was prime for strong tornadoes. the storm was moving at about 70 miles per hour. we had a position well northeast of it. initially we saw the mile and a half tornado on the horizon. in a matter of minutes we were really close to it because it was moving so fast. we knew it was headed straight for yazoo city. we knew it was a bad situation. >> were you stunned by the size of that tornado? >> yes, definitely one of the widest tornadoes i've ever seen in 12 years of storm chasing. it was extremely violent, had
