going to be a storm for the books, that's for sure. we're watching tons of moisture surge up and the low is actually still way south. just off the carolinas, just a little north from there. it will head up this way. and you get all this heat on one side, well, heat, that's a relative term. mostly rain from eastern long island up to boston. mostly snow on the other side. so that's why they look a little uneven as far as the snow totals go. not as robust from boston to southeastern maine. but tons of snow in northwestern new jersey, through parts of pennsylvania and upstate new york, too. this is just going to be an incredible storm. what to expect in the city? it starts as rain. moves to snow, it will kind of go back and forth, the rain/snow line sets up right over the city for much of the day. you can also expect six-plus inches to fall on the ground by tomorrow. because it will all change back to snow and be cold enough tomorrow to stick. so either way, this is not a fun day throughout the northeast. i think you'll see temperatures in the low to mid 30s. if you want sunshine, you've got to go elsewhere. we'll be tracking the storm throughout the morning.
