one is the deficit and debt. just passed spending caps and debt ceiling increase. on the campaign trail in missouri we've talked about concern of the deficit and dealt. is this dealing with that concern? >> well, i voted no on that increase and on the deal that would allow the debt and the deficit to rise. i think we need to rebuild our military. that's something that has been decimated by years of feckless leadership of president obama and the democrats. over and above that, my problem with the current proposals out of congress, it increases spending way, way, way beyond what is required to rebuild the military on the nondefense side. it's massive increases to no clear purpose. i think we have got to stand up and say it's the american taxpayer who's on the line for. this we can't just do this. >> if you don't have the president in your party saying that how do you fight that battle on capitol hill? >> i think the president has been strong on this. i think the president negotiated it was important to him to get
