president george w bush, monica crowley from the london center for policy research, andea juan williams, cohost of "the five." juan, what do you see happening here? there's been a nonstop series of complaints about how president trump first tweeted about it, the statement wasn't long enough, the way the flag was lowered, it should have stayed lowered, then it was lowered again, to me it seems like a lot of this is getting away from john mccain the man and back to criticizing trump the president.hi your reaction? >> i agree. i think you have to honor john mccain, that man especially now as we go into the season of grieving and paying respects to him and his family he certainly was an american patriot. i think almost the definition and our generation, laura. i disagree with you about the media. i don't think the media is the one that refused to release -- i don't think it was the press that lowered the flag temporarily and put it up back and then changing course. i don't think it is the press that has been out there taking shots at john mccain.
