and indiana doesn't have a law on the books that prohibits sexual orientation or gender identity. they tried to put that into the bill. what did that do? >> they did not provide gender identity. what it did is said that in municipalities, so in indianapolis there is say local sit ordinance that protects against certain kinds of discrimination that will be honored. religious objections will not be allowed to trump that ordinance but in most of the state of indiana there is no civil rights protections for gay people or trans people and that remains even after the fix. >> and the lawmakers working on the fix said they could do that and i think their legislative session is close to wrapping up and they are hope to fix that before the end of the session.
