that horrible crash. >> eric: it's been a tense week on capitol hill. republicans took the step of filibustering a cabinet nominee. the gop mustering just enough votes to delay senator chuck hagel's confirmation for secretary of defense. but now a lot of eyes are on senator john mccain. senator mccain joined the filibuster thursday as a way, they say, for him to try and squeeze more information out of the administration about the attack in benghazi. senator mccain has also said he believed hagel does deserve an up or down vote. what will happen next and is hagel in danger or will his nomination survive? susan estridge is a fox news contributor. hi, susan. >> hey, eric, how are you? >> good, what do you think will happen in the end? do you think hagel will squeak through and eventually be confirmed? >> yeah, i think there is no doubt about it. no secretary of defense has ever gotten the thumbs down this way.
