parents leaving their house moments ago. griff jenkins joins us live at the scene. >> reporter: greta, moments ago, randy and amy loughner left their home two cars pulled in the driveway. you see a white suv, bronze mustang, members of the federal public defenders office. amy loughner came out first followed by randy, who had his dog with him. they were hooded, as you see. they are visibly shaken. parents that are devastated. i simply asked or tried to speak with them to ask how are they doing? anything they could give us. it sounded to me as if amy may have been sobbing, lightly. randy clearly upset that any cameras were there. turned his back to us, getting in there. this is the first that the loughners have been seen. they've been holed up in their house. earlier in the day, we've seen the legal team come and go, a member of the legal team came
