considering she voted with barack obama and harry reid almost all the time. but, she did the right thing here. >> listen, i think everybody who voted either way on this did it for political reasons. some people like earmarks that they get to pick some projects they can choose to put money to, that the federal bureaucrats are ignoring. other people voted against earmarks because they think that is what the public wants them to do. i think it's a congressman's responsibility to find things that the federal bureaucracy is ignoring and put money into it if it's needed. if it's a good project. there are some bad one, obviously. >> sean: the problem is the system has gotten corrupt. we have 435 members of congress, 100 senators. you support my earmark, i'm support yours. they stuff the big spending projects and defense appropriation bills or other bills. things that could never pass on their own merits. if the bill is good enough for a state, it ought to stand the test of being voted up or down. >> that is absolutely right. look, today's move was good. it was very important,
