it was actually the grave full dead, airplane, crosby stills and nash and santana's free concert to which the stones were invited to attend. they normally put shows on in the park. went to an alternative site that fell through. then the site i didn't see until the night before the show i was horrified, the worst possible place to ever put on a rock and roll show middle of the desert. yeah, it turned into a disaster. >> greta: before we get to the disaster. you knew the members of jefferson airplane? >> i did, nice people. all those people are great people. sometimes the -- sometimes the best people put she's on -- put shows on it doesn't work out i'm not one to blame people. things go wrong. you try and do inks this, they go wrong, move on.
