that what is in these documents proves that there are war crimes that have taken place, that there are troops that are guilty of these war crimes. what's your take on that? >> i think it's one of those issues, it's in the eye of the beholder. if you want to see war crimes, you're going to see war crimes. i do believe that as things happen in combat, i've been there, people are killed incidentally for the wrong reasons. it happens. it does not make it a war crime. it makes it a very tragic event, something that we do have to make right. we did not walk away from it. but a war crime is strong language, which is meant to provoke a response. i do not believe our soldiers -- i served there with them, i am one of them, we do not engage in war crimes as far as i know. jenna: colonel, as you are one of them, talk to us about their standpoint. they're in the field right now. these leaks have taken place how is their safety put in jeopardy because of this, and what do you think, just on the morale side, what their reaction might be to this? >> i think it's going to be -- let me clarify my comment. i'm a army reserve officer, not serving now.
