thoughts? >> my thoughts were it was like the lion air crash last fall. the thought amongst pilot force is it possibly was a stab trim augmentation system. and we pretty much all felt the same as far as that is concerned. >> so you're blaming the automated system? >> no, i am not necessarily blaming the automated system. it could be part of the stab trim augmentation system or a computer glitch or another possibility which is a jack screw which manipulates the elevator on the airplane itself. >> that's what's in the "new york times." they're saying that piece of the plane they recovered, the jet screw, suggests that the plane stabilizers tilted upward. is there any other reason stabilizers would be tilting upward if not for some sort of mechanical error? >> well, no, generally not
