season it has always become a very different kind of media, multimedia stew. i don't get this idea it is a black and white situation like the online renegades versus the old guard print. >> not black and white at all. is it healthy that more voices can be heard, opinions on movie, theater, everything else, you don't have to be credentialed by some big media organization? >> absolutely. but i never looked -- you never had to be credentialed. everybody you know, you name, how ward, the five most interesting critics you read consistently in a given field, every one of those resumes reads completely differently. ism e, no one way to become an interesting, vivid, worth while critic. that has not changed. >> except, tony scott, you wanted to have your voice heard 20 years ago, you needed an employer, a newspaper, television station or a magazine to serve as a flat form. these days you don't, so you all have -- we all have more competition? >> but i think that's very good.
