in scotland, so sometimes these figures go up for a good reason, as well as other reissues. i think the next slide if we go on shows what's happening to hospitalisations. you can see the number of hospitalisations is rising but at a very much slower rate than we are seeing four cases. so this is showing us the evidence that the vaccine is working and is breaking the link between cases of infection and hospitalisations. if we move on to the third graph, which shows the numbers of deaths, well, although every death is a terrible, terrible tragedy, the numbers are so small on this graph that you can't see any increase. it again suggests that the vaccination programme is really helping to prevent severe illness and hospitalisation and death from covid. the final slide is perhaps
