Dr. Greg O’Leary, who has over 23 years of experience in K-12 and post-secondary settings as a researcher, administrator, teacher and professor, will take over the role from Eldred Barnes, who was serving in an acting capacity. Premier Andrew Furey, who appointed O’Leary to the position, says O’Leary’s work across various levels of the education system makes him an ideal candidate for the position. The appointment takes effect on January 4th.
