Deputy commissioner will lead Connecticut education departme

Charlene Russell-Tucker, a deputy commissioner at the state Department of Education, has been elevated to lead the agency on an interim basis following the resignation of Commissioner Miguel Cardona, who left the post to join President Joe Biden’s cabinet as U.S. education secretary.
