PLAINFIELD – This past Memorial Day weekend, the town’s public safety complex was officially dedicated to a man who helped make its construction possible.
On a rainy Saturday, the building was formally named the Dennis A. Thatcher Public Safety Complex, in honor of the town’s late fire chief who died of cancer in 2019.
“It went off really well,” said David Alvord, the current fire chief.
More than 100 people attended the dedication ceremony, which featured the unveiling of both a sign and a plaque.
