THERE are long delays on the A27 due to emergency roadworks.
Lewes Police are warning drivers to expect slow traffic at Falmer as a result of the ongoing work and urged motorists to avoid the area if possible.
A spokesman for the force said: "There are currently long delays at Falmer due to emergency works to repair a burst water main on the westbound A27.
"We ask motorists to expect delays, and to please find an alternative route if possible."
