DC cast The Young And The Restless star Sasha Calle as new Supergirl

The DC Extended Universe (DCEU) have cast Sasha Calle as their new Supergirl, it was revealed on Friday.
Sasha, 22, is set to become the first ever Latina Supergirl, and reports from Deadline claim she beat over 425 other actresses for the part which will see her make her debut in the upcoming Flash film.
The actress impressed Flash director Andy Muschietti, DC Films boss Walter Hamada and producers with her audition, with the publication reporting they were 'blown away' by her 'toughness and vulnerability'.
