DBIA puts stop sign on Cornwall's Pitt Street weekend closures

In a news release issued Tuesday by the Downtown Business Improvement Area, it was announced the closures that began early this month – on Pitt from Second Street to just south of First Street – are ending at the request of the business owner who first requested them.

The DBIA said Hassan Rafiei, owner of Schnitzels European Flavours restaurant on Pitt Street, has requested the city cancel the remaining scheduled closures. The weekend closures were originally slated to continue through until the Labour Day weekend.
