(Shutterstock) ATLANTA, GA — Live for Live Music, a premier music media, marketing and production company, and HeadCount— a national, nonpartisan nonprofit that works with musicians to promote participation in democracy in the U.S. — partnered to present Georgia Comes Alive, a one-day virtual music festival on Dec. 26 to promote voter participation in the Jan. 5, 2021 Senate runoff elections by supporting local grassroots organizations Georgia Coalition for the People's Agenda and CivicGeorgia, according to a recent press release. Dave Matthews, Diplo, Ben Folds, The Lame Ducks — a supergroup project featuring Bob Weir of Grateful Dead; Dave Schools of Widespread Panic; Jeff Chimenti of Dead & Company; and Jay Lane of both Wolf Bros. and Primus — and 36 other musical guests will perform throughout the afternoon and evening starting at 3 p.m. Dec. 26, the release said. Beginning Wednesday, those interested in watching the virtual festival can visit the Georgia Comes Alive website, donate any amount to the cause and receive an email with a link to the event's livestream.
