Danville receives over $450,000 today for utility customer releif, available until Dec. 31


The City of Danville reminds utility customers who have experienced COVID-19-related income loss that funds remain available to assist with delinquent utility bills.
Customers, however, must apply by the end of the month because the Coronavirus Aid, Recovery, and Economic Security (CARES) Act funding will expire at the end of the calendar year.
Customers could qualify for 100 percent assistance on delinquent utility bills.  
City residents with COVID-19-related income loss can contact the Danville Department of Social Services to apply for assistance with past due utility accounts.
Business customers should contact the Danville Office of Economic Development.
Danville Utilities customers who reside in Pittsylvania, Halifax and Henry counties should contact their locality’s Department of Social Services for assistance.
