A MAN who led police on a high speed pursuit had taken his mother's car to go to buy cocaine. Blackburn magistrates heard the incident ended when police deployed a stinger to stop the Nissan Pixo driven by Warren Robert Hadfield. He was later discovered to be disqualified from driving after being convicted of dangerous driving in August. Hadfield, 44, of Livesey Hall Close, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention, while disqualified and without insurance, failing to stop for a police officer and possession of cocaine. He was sentenced to four months in prison, banned from driving for 18 months and ordered to pay £128 victim surcharge.
