Daly City police officer fatally shot S.F. man in chest during struggle over weapon, DA says

A routine check on a occupied parked vehicle in Daly City turned deadly last week when police officers saw what they believed was a firearm on the lap of a passenger, struggled to take it away and fatally shot the man in the chest, said San Mateo County District Attorney Stephen Wagstaffe told The Chronicle on Tuesday.
The weapon turned out to be a BB gun.
Daly City police have released few details about the fatal police shooting, but Wagstaffe provided an account Tuesday of what unfolded on April 7.
