It seems to be rampaging through society like a noncontagious cognitive plague, forming a low-level hum that hides in the corners of our collective minds.” I recently received the results of my intensive Enneagram Institute personality test/analysis and learned, at this late date, that one of the key driving instincts of people with my personality profile is “... while we do our best to be solid and responsible, we are often troubled by an undercurrent of doubt and anxiety. In fact, we often seem a bit jittery and uneasy in general. We live in a state of worry — and then find something to worry about. We often ‘scan’ our surroundings for problems, expecting that something negative could happen at any time.”
