Company commits to 100% reusable, recyclable or compostable packaging by 2025

– Chicago-based sweet snacking company Ferrara today announced its commitment to make all packaging 100% reusable, recyclable or compostable by 2025. The company has become a signatory of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s and UN Environment Program (UNEP)’s New Plastics Economy Global Commitment, joining 500 businesses and governments for a vision of a circular economy for plastic in which it never becomes waste or pollution.
To achieve its commitment, Ferrara will engage its entire organization, suppliers and partners to implement the following initiatives as part of a roadmap towards 100% recyclable, reusable or compostable packaging by 2025:
