Some time ago, one of our former president s put it like this. No one is compelled to have choose the profession of Police Officer. But having chosen yet, everyone is supposed to do the duties and live up to the requirements. To join in that high enterprise means at the defender of much individual freedom. The Police Officer has chosen a profession and that he must hold at all peril. He is the outpost of the nation. He cannot depart from it until he is relieved, a great and honorable duty to be greatly and honorably fulfilled. A Police Officer has in enormous authority. In order to properly execute it, he must have a good understanding of the laws of arrest and his limitations under these laws. Good Law Enforcement is the common sense, impartial and unbiased enforcement of the law. Police patrol is the basic means of all Law Enforcement. It is essential for protection against criminals.
