Obviously the big race was the senate race like to replace ■senator feinstein. Adam ran a relate straight race for use up and down all over the state he had a really strong showing last night. I do not want to be premature at this look like adam schiff will be the next senator. Are you concerned about President Bidens low Approval Ratings . It is looking from polls former President Trump is ahead in key swing states. I am not actually. ■c as you said its in general election mode youll start to see this laid out as two different visions for america. I caught amer President Trumps dark vision of america last night when he was giving his remarks. I think on thursday at the state the uni you will see President Biden lay out the work we have done what he has accomplished in his first years in office the work ahead of us e still a lot we have to do it and accomplish to get us to where we need to be. I would watch their conference this morning certainly there are hardliners that dont pass any bill but again the majority of republicans will vote. We have got to get that aid in theirs quickly as possible to avert that catastrophe. Hopefully we can take those fouy negotiate a deal that is longer. You havei been additional aid to ukraine. First, tell us why work taxpayer money should go to ukraine . And what are the prospects of that happening . We are at a critical juncture at the ward taking place in ukraine. In an unprovoked fashion decided to invade ukraine. I think now is not the time to back off. We have seen our european allies step up with additional funding to support the ukrainian people. Now is the time for us as congress on the administration to stand withukraine who are fir their freedom and try to get it to a place for you can negotiate an end to this conflict for it again now is not the time to back off. Now is thest time for us to stad for freedom, for d peace. That is what the United States has always stood for. Lets do it with our european allies. Lets support the ukrainian people and then lets get this to a point where we can negotiate an end to this conflict. From reuters the gn minister once used proceeds from fresh and russian assets for ukraine. Is that a possibility that we could use some of the money at E International community has frozen from russian assets and use that for ukraine aid . It is aossibility something thats been talked about in congress and there are some pieces of legislation that would support using the frozen assets to support ukraine. Emanuel in france has faced a backlash because he discussed the idea of sending western troops to ukraine at a conference back in february. What are your thoughts on that . Right now the ukrainian people they have been fighting admirably. August of that in our support the nato weaponry ammunition and the like. Theyve been prosecuting this war and defend their own territory. I think if we continue to support them they will continue to be able to at least a standstill heel or the Russian Troops back a little t bit. Thats how i would look at do you feel there has been a nest enough oversight on the funding that is already been sent to ukraine as been used and how effective it has been . Whats a sit on the Intelligence Committee was certainly look at this and how the wars being analysis and so forth. In the next phase of the war lets get the funding. Lets pass the securityng supplemental and i think you will see more advice and more oversight. Legitimately members of congress are starting to ask was the longterm play here is this a forever war . I understand that fatigue coming out of afghanistan and iraq and so forth that being said now is time to back out of this conflict. I look at whats happened at our southern border and it is difficult i think its going to continue to be a challenge it. The bill that was negotiate in the senate and senator chris murphy was a very good bill its not perfect butut it is a start. I would certainly have hoped we had a chance to vote on that in the house right now i do not feel optimistic that particular bill will see the light of day. I t do think youll hear the president talking about certain executive actions and things that he can do. My question is, if the American Government idea of ensuring domestic tranquility is allowing more people into the country then we have houses for, how is that ensuring domestic tranquility and helping homeless americans find a place if you keep bringing more people in what we know theres not enough houses .
