This is typical donald trump. As he says he always wins. Not quite but he usually does. The way he finagled to get the club approved is how he operates, on the one hand his lawyer sent copies of gentlemens agreement and similar to the Town Council Members who are trying to prevent him from turning this into a club implying they were biggest and at the same time he sued the town and he indicted the Town Council Members maralago, he said while glamorous girls and he often played golf with them and tennis, he uses the carrot and the stick and eventually it worked, mayor lago brings in almost 40 million a year, everybody wants to go there, that sums up the way trump operates.
