And the loss of your job at cnn and the loss of the election in the loss of francis i think this hasd been hard foran you and i heard a lot of pain in and grief in your voice in this book. It as a a result the selective relief our my feeling now . Im still a little disappointed people are not outraged to interfere in our election. We saw that in realtime. And they would call me crazy then. The next time call me crazy. [laughter] because you were a masochist. I had no idea i knew a few emails were leaked and several were compromised in many of the staff or under attack by had no idea it would impact my life personally. There was a moment that as republicans we cannot do this alone. We were h attacked from the cost of foreign governments. And somebody invade your house you say did they come in through the window or the door . Actually on like watergate where they came to the front door this was 21st century because nobody told the person at the top things were not happening the right way. By the time i became chair i wanted to go to the pentagon. We had suspicious packages and then i started to get those crazy a tax. I feel those people should be of raged there should never happen again. [applause] cry give hillary a heads up. Because they want you to see that narrative that what . What donald trump sought every night. He calls you. What does that mean . I dont know what that stands for. [laughter] i dont go. But if i did compete with ms usa as the woman who did not wear the of bikini. Talk about sending the emails talk about 2016 was all about emails and the server in that was the question in the debate. And that that could have been decided by a sex scandal . Anyway it was all about emails. So you just talk about the emails you sent to the Hillary Campaign so clear this up. I were confused by your users did use an emails to Hillary Clinton . I gave everybody the heads up. The reason why i quit that night they wanted me to put out a statement i said was not true. I also said dont put my life at stake because at this point in the campaign recognizer theyre doing with emails and i said dont threaten me. And a half this secret server i have jesus. And she looked at me. [laughter] they would to say i took questions from them and i said no. I know you didnt because it is impossible to get questions from cnn. We know how it works. I suspect other networks but we know they have established the code off silence and then of us are allowed anywhere inyw your near the area. We wrap the ritzcarlton. You get the questions but not from cnn. First of all, if you read the questions you would know they did it come from cnn. But i was under the impression with the debates and to expand the members of the base the town hall and the forum also with black lives matter to expand because they love wolf but they dont like me or you. Said the pressure that i was under says the cnn commentator was to produce diversity as well as additional questions. So the debates for town halls or forums the key very much. I love cnn very much i still watch a. That we expanded and to talk about criminal Justice Reform in Death Penalty the water prices and plant crisis in flint michigan we decided rather than going to another failed debate we Work Together and had come up with a lot of questions and alza said gave republicans had up to say guess what . So you say they would forever regret it. Because if he lets get the mills for this one but not the other one . Guess what . My files were wiped clean. For me it has been painful. I stood up for human defended you but at the same time i very much understand the need cnn has to defend their integrity and their brilliant in their brand and talk about fake new zealand the media to and the questions and the process talkedabout getting the water in flinttu michigan. One of the people she gave a letter to was asking questions that might. Talking to people who may be askingng questions. Cant we all just be friends . I have found this painful. Of all the things i regret this event if i do something bad i will dependence that is the only way to get back to grace. The first thing i did because i could not find my emails i called Bernie Sanders and said i need help. His staff defended me on television when i was getting beat up. I will be fair with theo. I will fight with you but it made me sad that the Hillary Campaign here is another dilemma that i am in. They Hillary Campaign in john the dust touched email. E mine, i have seven accounts the wanted to have the more is from the dnc. The Hillary Clinton campaign did not go out to verify the emails and john edessa has not verified the a thing from wikileaks. The only person in america who verified those fact stolen emails from wikileaks that is me. [applause] i eight and five hits and i give it out but from the fact of 2016 we can no longer as the country believe very elections are secure from cyberattacks. If we learn anything from the do hundred 60 page book you cannot p have your password year address or your last name. 01 234. We have to take steps to secure our democracy this doesnt happenen again. Is somebody offers you rubles to place ads in these were some of the worst days she would call me late at night when i didnt get a call from a lot of people she would call to say let me take you to lunch. Sometimes when you lose the namen people lose your they dont call you because they dont worry if your bills are paid or you can get back up. They move on and go back to their wonderful life who stuck around to make sure the kids were okay . Or had healthinsurance . Me. Raising money . Me. Do you know who made sure what was taken care of . I think too often youre defining relationships in the workplace marriage, friendships, and that strikes me as a dumb thing to do. This will pass in to lose a real friendship because of a devoted different than you . I am not sure you can define that f as a real friendship. I am looking at page 42 a year ago after some friends. Hillary bailed out the dnc after obama left it in that but then along with all of this she likes the power but not the responsibility. So how is your friendship with deal bombazine and clintons these days . [laughter] i dont answer to anyone but more importantly in politics the answer to the voter and the donor it is never about a candidate or campaign is about democracy so well the city canceled did not keep theirho promise to me it was all about getting people active and engaged in the political process. If you leave 23 million in debt if the person walks behind you find out people are paid 25,000 . I have a story to tell. I saw how they tried to discredit our elections and throw the democracy to hurt the nomination and i wanted to tell that. Can now im going to write the book. [applause] this is my second book i do write columns every week with the Electoral College in the popular vote i study a lot. Da i kept all of my notes, my calendar, records even a text message i passed this summer was on payroll and said i need t to know and they said you dont need to know but i did ask. Because i did take control of money. Had died i could see that is like the slave to told i cannot spend money. By of very conservative by the way. I am from louisiana. This is like being on cnn we would never of conversation live in front of the American People. We would sit there and laugh in the city that you were arguing . We are arguing. Life is too important it is too short to define people by the political affiliation buter by a shared experiences and successes and how they get around them not by politics we lost the ability to embrace diversity to be with people that look differently and thats polarization is one of the biggest problems. But that doesnt mean you dont share things in common or want to see the best for your country. [applause] they give me 2 billion over 10 weeks. This is why i was upset. That night this is what i had to write the book while it was fresh. What the hell do you have to lose . I would never sit in the chairs opposite made that the Conference Room for people who would come in i would sit in the side office. I started to write the column because i could insert to what the hell i have to lose. Then they said dont worry madam chair i said we have to respond. All i have to do is write a column. Because i had no money that was not under my control and here is the best part even when in wrote the press release i wrote every week they looked at me they is to have to approve my press release i have then a secretary in the communications in the newspaper columnist some person half my age . [laughter]y but i went along to get along. And then with the Electoral College and the popular vote the the American People need to understand. [laughter] with a big beautiful of mexico will pay for. In by the way that was the last time i supported somebody in the primary. So i watch from the sidelines. But with the rules committee. To determine if the money before the primary in did.
