Anyway, im not going turn the podium over to paul, who is going to introduce dick. We appreciate you coming out tonight. Its been contracts day. Athem the executive director of the manhattan based Organization Called dropec and and what better that kind of spirit in America Today where not bogged down by ideological battles. Bogged down by pragmatic choices that make sense for american citizens and theres no better time than that kind of thinking in american politics today. So, not that he needs much introduction but dick morris is one of the finest Political Consultants in the United States today. No doubt about it. I dont know if you can find a better mind in analyzing the political scope that we have today, and he was bill clintons top aid and thank god for dick morris because he pushed bill clinton to the right on many things and author of 13 bestseller books, which is crazy and impressive. And hopefully you guys buy his booked to rogue spooks about the intelligence war on donald trump that great read. So i encourage you to buy that andll do a book signing. Worth further adieu, heres dick morris. [applause] [inaudible] good to be here. Thank you, paul, for arranging this. Thank you, cspan, for covering it. You want me to you mean here . Okay. Ill kick over my diet cap coke. I mentioned on my facebook page, called deep six the deep state and on my web site, dickmorris. Com. How many of you heard about the event through either of those . Okay. Good. So this is your group. These are your folks good to be here, donald trump represents a very, very important change in our politics, and i dont think that people realize the change because the media does not want to write about the change, because it basically tells the media that those people never counted and never talked to and never looked at really control the country, and its quite a shock for people. I tell you a cute story. When in 1995, in june, i was with president clinton, and i said, youre so far behind in the polls, you need to do some television advertising, and he said, well, it will be a sign of weakness. Said you are. And then head said, people wont give me money because he they figure i wont win. I said youll be a secret. I said aid spine two million a week. And going to keep its secret . Ways, howl are you planning to do that . I said, well, sir, well advertise in the entire country but not in new york, l. A. , or washington. And i guarantee you the media wont cover it. And they didnt. There was never coverage of it. I remember once i was opening the New York Times and reading about how clintons message, which may not be penetrating in washington, was certainly penetrating here in cincinnati, ohio, with where the story was based. Everybody is saying his slogans back to us. And they hadnt realized it was on tv, repeating it every five minutes, and because they were in the elite area, they just didnt know what was going on in the rest of the country. And that really is emblematic of the trump campaign. As much as i love Hillary Clinton and you know of my deep abiding affection for her, right . As much as i adore the lady, it was not her negatives that defeated her. It wasnt even the russians or comey or anybody. Actually i dont know if she knows she was defeated. It was the it was positives on donald trump. I followed the polling very, very closely. As you know i would. And about three weeks before election day, 21 days out, if you broke out in the National Polling people who were white, had been to high school, but not to college, and were men, and you saw how they voted, women in that category voted similarly but not quite as extreme as they were but those three groups, white, male, and High School Graduate but not college, three weeks before the election day, that group went for trump by 14 points. Two weeks before election day, that group went for trump by 24 points. Three weeks before election day, that group went for trump by 34 points. And on election day, that group went for trump by 46 points. Carrying 6620. Carried High School White women by about 35 points. Not quite machs but still a very significant margin. And those were the people who were left out. The people who nobody counted, nobody paid attention to, because they were not black and not latino and not disabled and they were not gay and they were not transvestite and not, not, not, but existed and their needs and concerns were completely obliterated in the national media. They paid no attention to them. The didnt exist. The phrase, flyover country applied. Go to a. And new york and just fly over it. Thats all that it matters for. And is a saw that group shift, i realized this election was like an earthquake, tectonic plates shifting. The thing found most interesting if you compare florida and North Carolina on the one hand, with michigan and pennsylvania, ohio, and wisconsin, on the other hand, in the two southern states, with the economy hurt, but but wasnt a wipeout, a very good economy which was interrupted by the recession and then went down and then came back up, and now is doing basically fine. In those areas, trump ran two points ahead of romney. But in the northeastern states, those fourth states, trump ran 18 points better than romney because there they really got clobber bid the recession. It was bad going in, worse coming out, and the Economic Situation just was desperate for them. I read a fascinating speech by an ultraleftist, michael moore. But he despite his ideology hit it on he head. The said i sit here and first i lose my job, then i lose my pension, then i lose my car, then i lose my house, then my wife takes my kids, and then i lose my wife. And ive lost everything there is to lose. Because of the economy. And there was only one thing i have not lost, that vote. And that vote is going to enable me to get back out of this horrible situation in which i find myself and which i have lost everything. Not just a job, not just the way we would if we lose a job. Good riddance, well get another one next week or next month or whatever. This was the dislocation so profound, and trump understood that. He tapped into it. And in economic terms, he really redefined the marxist construct of economic progress, which was that you start with barter no Economic System at all. Then you move to feudalism, which you are so insecure about getting killed by vikings or something, you sell all of your rights to the feudal lord, guy him all your crops and he runs your life ask and in return protects you. Then nations began to emerge and then the nation protected you and what the nation wonted in return was all the money. That led to mercantilism, you look for gold and you bring it home to spain. Then capitalism came, which based on the market and the capitalism we know. Whats of catchallism . The communists said, socialism and then commune jim. This five stages of history, feudsallism, barter, capitalism, socialism, communism. But the capitalists never answered that question. And trump in effect is answering it. He is saying the capital limp left unfettered is a pyramid, very sharp pyramid, like in egypt, theres one guy on top, name bezos or something, or jobs, and one guy controls every and everything is underneath him in a pyramidal situation, and trump said that if you let the economy good on its own, people are going to say i want the most efficient means of production, and the most efficient means of production is robots. Get the hell rid of people. Just have robots do it. And fire everybody, reduce your labor costs, enormously, and make profits for your investors and top management. But of course the flaw of that is that you may not need them as producers because the robot may be able to do the job, but you sure need them as consumers, because the robot is not going spend much much on fashion each year, and you obviously cant have an economy of one in that sense. What he is really saying is we have to take care and protect and work to help those people who were displaced by that, who are moved aside, and the fundamentally even if they cease to be producers, we need them as consumers. For our economy to fungs, for society have some cohesion, and fortunately the constitution does not say, one robot, one vote. So, if we plan on keeping a Democratic Society as opposed to a orwellian dictatorship, we better damn well make sure that the guy casting the vote is a little happier than the average robot. And he brings these new perspectives to capitalism and to the economy. So he says, yes, we need free trade. Absolutely. But free treat cant be a race to the bottom. If it is it means that the United States now is competing with the workers and the poorest country in the world and our people have to compete with the people of bangladesh expect get their income way, way down so they can compete with that. And if you give them machines and it makes them more productive, ultimately the mariners all over the place. His point then help the bangladesh person, too. And his point was that you absolutely have got to integrate the needs of a country with the needs of the economy. The needs of the people of that country. And in a strange way, the world is round. And that ideology has a lot in common with the occupy wall street ideology of the extreme left, talking about redistribution of income, and talking about the need to protect people and so forth. But he calls for a revision of the traditional conservative economic doctrines, tradition traditional conservatism says no restraint on pretrial trump says you have to stop countries to manipulating the economy. The traditional doctrine says free flow of labor. Trump says that means you cant work for a living and make a live, Abraham Lincoln was a republican because he saw slavery as the impediment to the market economy. He used to work on a subsistence farm for his dad, tomlin lynn and he hate it, he hated farming himself split rails but hated to do it, and he wanted to make a living, to move up, and at some point he left his farm and went to the Mississippi River and got a job as a river boat guy. River boat pilot. And he got a cash wage. He said this is incredible. Can use this to move myself up. But how can die that in a society where 8 Million People can be beaten into working for nothing . I cant. I cant compete with nothing. And that was really the basis for his opposition to slavery. Not just that it was immoral and everything, but that it made it impossible for the basic class to move up. Made upward mobile impossible. Ungetted immigration is doing the same thing here in the United States. If you look at the census and you look at every single job that was created in america, since the year 2000, they bifurcatedded i would rather they not but they do between born in u. S. And not born in the u. S. The not born includes naturalized citizens and people who should be here and are here. They do it based on births. And the net outcome since the year 2000 for people who have been born in the United States is negative job loss, fewer of them working than in the year 2,000. All of the gains in job growth, about 25 , have been among people not born in the United States. And that underdishorse point that immigration serves to keep our wages at the bangladesh level. You cant raise them if somebodies willing to work for almost everything, as Abraham Lincoln found. Trump embodied these ideas idead brought them forth in a vert important way. But but he challenged ever ten tent of the establishment, every idea they have. Most fundamental idea hi challenges this on lessens of the nation state. In his speech at the u. The wood any word sovereignty 19 times elm he makes the opinion this not going to be one world and if itself is one world, we want out. [applause] 60 of that one world, live in awer to tarean countries. Win the United States votes in the u. N. It represents 330 Million People. When china votes in u. N. It represents 8. When russia votes it represents punt putin, and how can you equate them at equivalent. Give them one vote each. And his point is that sovereignty, national sovereignty, giving people the right to control their own destiny through their own country, is the foundation of our government and of our political theory. The whole idea that if you make money and you police in anything other than a democracy, it can be taken away from you without your consent but if you live in an awe authoritarian country, whats the reason for private property . Somebody can take it from you. So the fundamental element in the economy doesnt exist in threequarters of the world and his point is we dont want to go to their level. We want to force them to come up to our level. And we want to protect our people from being forced into that lower level. So, i believe that by the way, the threat to our sovereignty are enormous. In new york city politics, there was a point when the irish and the italian and german and asian immigrants came in in massive numbers and changed the voting acts of new york city. So that the establishment, the wasps, the people that used to occupy buildings like this, no longer controlled the citys politics, but the hall did through manipulating masses of immigrants thats came off the boats. What the bromens did said wire not going to lete city do anything. Well put all the power at the state level where all the caw formers can vote with us and we can vote with the street people in new york. Anyone 1950s and 60s the racists in the south ban to run their states like plant attention, discriminate horribly against black people and anyone else they could find. So the liberals that era said lets take power away from the cities and vest it in the federal government where the pair minded people of. To compensate for the bigots in alabama who are run thing country. No the gobleist are saying lets take the decisionmaking away from washington and put it in new york, where the global experts can run things. And when you think but it, the global experts, the dictatorship of the bureaucracy, the sim system theyre used to. In europe you have no democratic heritage. Italy has been a functioning democracy for about ten minutes now. Germany is about 60 years. France hasnt really been furnishingsal since functional since 1958 and its britain and the United States and everybody else has a very limited heritage of democracy. And in european history, it all dates from 1848, which was the year of revolution throughout europe, and that revolution came to germany, and the german people rose up, the prussian people, demand everybody overthrow of the military generation running the country, and bismarck was the Prime Minister them, and he went to those people and said, hey, guys, come here. How about if i give you workers compensation, Health Insurance, welfare, back then there was no concept of retirement this theboard din exist. The assumption was you work until you die. He said before you die we should carve out time you can have to yourself and laid this program out that subsequently became the new deal, and then became the Democratic Party, he said in return for that give up democracy. Forget the democracy stuff. Called the Christian Democratic Party. Get rid of all that and well give you all of these social goodies, and that deal that underscored german politics in the 19th century, continues today. Its essentially what the left offers. Well give you the goodies but dont insist on power, let us have the power. Instead of a government of aristocracy from birth, its a government of aristocracy from schools. I went to oxford, cambridge, and you pour pet wait yourself. So that purr pet wait yourself so the European Union is an effort by the bureaucrats to i assert theyre power over the populous and over the average person. Was one of the leaders of the Brexit Campaign and that analysis [applause] thank you. And i had a cute moment there. They were talk to me about their issues and all sorts of stuff, fish, farming, manufacturing, currency, immigration, and they said, how do we put this in slogans . So i said, your slogan should be no help me pronounce the way a threeyearold wore. No so, we took the eu picture and we put a slash through it and we had gold stars on the outside and blue on the inside, the european flag. Its like ghostbusters, no, and that embodied the whole campaign. Theres their tradition of inherit power, whether by private or by education and thats the establishment that would like to rule in the u. S. Today. The federal rye serve board this, imf, the treasury department. Interest raise used to be the subject of political debate and then the feds said basically youre not smart enough to do that. Leave it to us. Were the experts and well tell you what the Interest Rates and you damn well better eye bay. Of course in the National Security it became the pentagon, the military industrial complex, and of course the Intelligence Community. And they basically said, we are going to run this country for you. Were going to tell you what you ought to do, and then what about the president . Well, hes here for four years or eighth years, im here for 20 or to 30 and he doesnt know much and i know everything so he butter follow my lead. When i worked for clinton, in the first year or two of his administration, i went to him and i liked to saas him. Were the same age. I said youre not old enough to run your own Foreign Policy yet. Tony lake, the National Security adviser and warren christopher, your secretary of state, theyll run it for you, and when you turn 21, theyll relinquish their guardianship and you can run Foreign Policy. And he said, they dont give my any options. They dom me and shay there are three things you can do blow up the world, do nothing or do what we recommend, and he said i never get alternatives. Thats a quote. I never get options from them. And thats how they govern. They basically fence in the president. So that he has no choice but to go in the direction they want. And theyre very clear about what they want. The bureaucracy extends not just from those limited fields i talk about but into all the departments. When i worked for clinton we proposed a free 13th and 14th grade kind of what sanders is pushing now. We passed it but then the state legislators took all the money and used it for themselves and the kids were screwed again. But i went to the department of education and i said, this what the president would like to do. And they said, no, we dont think so. We want the money put into reading programs and remedial math and social counseling for atrisk children. Thats what want it spent on. Said well he decided he wants these two grades free. They said, no, no, thats not the right way to go and they fought on and on and on with me for hours or more, and i said you know the president , kind of tall guy, weird southern accent, he says this is what he wants. And we damn well better do it. And eventually i had to have the president call the secretary of education and say, this is what i want. The bureaucracy is so intent on moving in its own direction in its own speed, in its own way, that it could careless what the elected leadership of the country thinks. In europe, for example, if guy to you and you say the politicians says a. , but the elected official says b, the european will say, oh, the elected official orificialis an expert. Heat been studying this his whole life and is not motivated by partisan considerations. Im going to listen to him. In america we say, who elected the appoint guy . We elected the president. He has power and legitimacy from that election. Were going to listen to him. The exact opposite take. And that characterizes the United States. But the establishment, the deep state in the United States, whether it be benign, like the department of education, or edgy, like the imf and treasury, or authoritarian like the defense and intelligence establishment, want is its own way and is determined to get and it determined to save themselves from the that rise every four years in the form of an a selected president who would like to change things. Now its time to introduce them to donald trump, and you can understand the reaction they had. This guy is going to overthrow everything. When wees was taking offers, who does he pick to run the Intelligence Community . This wasnt the first time the establishment had decided that. I am not going to get into theories about the kennedy assassination because they are controversial. I do not know what happened, nobody does. But there is a thought that says that kennedy wanted to end the war and was transported in retrospect there were people that said they wanted to bomb cuba. He said there were no Russian Troops there, dont worry you can do it. It turned out that there were 20,000 Russian Troops. And if we kill them then they would have had to be a cold war. But kennedy shifted the consensus at the last minute. But when kennedy saw it happen he was completely freaked. He said we have got to end this thing. We have to deescalate this. So he fired the head of the cia. And he negotiated the treaty with the russians. The beginning of the deescalation. He gave a speech at American University shortly before his death talking about the importance of changing directions in a fundamental way. And then a month later he was assassinated in a pot that certainly has the footprints and fingerprints of elements of the deep state in it. Im not willing to go further than that. I do not want to make that assertion. But i want you to think about it. Then we had another example when nixon was president. And i grant you that we richly deserve being impeached, he was guilty of everything this and he was and then more. But he clearly wanted a change in the way the world works and to transform a bike focus Foreign Policy into a tritogas including china. And clearly, that represented a threat to the establishment. And we know what happened to him. We are accustomed to thinking deep throat as some kind of renegade agent that spilled the beans to woodward and bernstein. He wasnt. He was the acting head of the fbi. He was j edgar hoover, hoover was dead. He was his successor. Not officially patrick gray was brad grey was an idiot but did nothing. Certainly a figurehead. And deep throat, martin felt really show so when deep throat was telling them is what you need to overthrow the president of the United States, does that sound familiar . Then you came to irancontra. Which was designed to derail Ronald Reagan by hoisting him on the boland amendment because he was getting ready to Freedom Fighters in central america. So this history of the deep state toppling regime that didnt like existed in american history. And does it exist in world history. Cancel passing a copy of my book . I would like to review something. And great, i got it. Never mind. These are on sale for 25. How many of you have seen the movie homeland . The t. V. Series . Right . Okay. Well, this is a quote from it. And the guy that said this is a character that is the head of the cia. And he is talking to the president elect and he says, you are missing it right now. It is happening in front of your face. [we have a determined Disinformation Campaign designed to discredit the president elect. And as of today we are foods on the ground like the protesters i had to wade through to get here. Does that sound familiar to any of you . Because it sure does to me. It is what we did to nicaragua, chile, congo and a dozen other places all the way back to iran in the 1950s. And it does not end well for the elected regime. Dont you get it . Youre fighting for your life, you cannot afford to stay neutral. And the cia physically studied and perfected a method of testing dictatorships. And worse, of ousting democracies when people voted for the liberal government like in chile. And it included links to a compliant media that would run this information, a scandal that would discredit this president and keep him on the defensive. And all kinds of stuff and ousting him from office. And that is precisely and exactly what they are doing. It is the same playbook. Eight years ago when Obama Took Office he understood that the establishment did not want him as president. And let them be empowered. They would destabilize him. They would knife him in the back. So the first thing he did was to appoint ultra radicals in charge of the fbi and the cia. The fbi, the ag and then john brennan of the cia. Brennan is so radical that in 1976 election, he was a communist as jimmy carter was not liberal enough for him. And brennan and holder were under instructions to fire everybody, get rid of everybody in your agencies. Take these agencies that had been the bastions of the right, the fbi fighting communist in liberals all over the United States. Hounding them and violating their civil liberties. And the cia, going abroad in search of regimes and were not towing the line, even if they were moderately left the cia tried to topple them on the enemy list. In the meantime funding all of the conservative Political Parties throughout the country. They give 70 percent of the money to the Christian Democratic Party that it raised in italy during the 1960s and 70s. Dobson the communist from taking italy. And with it went disinformation, and sabotage and the whole deal. But now, brennan and holder turn those agencies from bright red to deep blue they became not of capitalism and of democracy, but of the left wing tenants of this global governance, this collectivism of the whole obama agenda. But they still remembered their playbook. They still remembered the moves. But now they were deploying them on behalf of the left. Not of the right. And when donald trump got elected, surprisingly, he called all the guys together and said stay at your desk. Do not leave. Do not quit, dont resign. Remain in your position and we will transfer you to Civil Service jobs so you cant be fired. And over thousand top officers at the cia and the fbi within a 10 week. Were transferred from appointed to Civil Service positions. For precisely that reason. And they said your mission is to stay behind and sabotage this administration from within. When the soviet armies were retreating in world war ii, they would leave political commissaries behind. Deliberately to go into the villages and organize the resistance. And that is literally what they did. So there was this resistance from the intel community. What they used to get rid of donald trump was this absolute, total fiction and fantasy that russia was colluding with him to influence the outcome of the us election. Total and complete fantasy. Yesterday, they published the phony as that the russians apparently part on facebook and this was supposed to be evidence of winning the election. Urging people to come out and join antiimmigrant demonstrations or favoring firearms. This was going to turn the election. It is very similar to the communist party did in the 1950s and 60s. Using the Civil Rights Movement to try and implicate the Democratic Party and make it into an arm of the communist political system. That is a guy named stanley levinson, the head of the party was also the head of the southern poverty law center. And he got Bobby Kennedy to fire him and that led to kennedy wiretapped. But anyway the point is that the left completely controlled these organs. And they created this fiction that russia and donald trump were anglicans. And they began to acquire life when the Democratic National convention came and their computers were hacked. And emails were exposed. I believe that was a leak, not a hack. Because it never mentioned hillary and it never mentioned donald trump. They were all directed at the internal operations of the Democratic Party during the primary in which Wasserman Schultz elevated hillary and helped her and demonstrated sanders even though the position required neutrality. And the people that leaked that were furious about that. And wanted to expose what they were doing. And that was what it was about. The Democratic Party refused to let the fbi have the computers to examine them. To examine the hack. They would not even let them into the community to the committee to examine appeared recently veteran intelligence professionals said that this could not have been done remotely by russia. He had to physically been there with a flash drive or a thumb drive to get the information out of the computer. But they signed issue. Hillary had been shooting negatives at top and it bounced off of him like bullets off of the armor of a tank. Trump university, Donald Trumps tax returns, importing ties and clothing from south america. None of that stuff, bankruptcies, none of that work as it is that he was being controlled by the kremlin and by russia. And they hired a guy named christopher steele. The 160,000, working for a group called fusion to come up with material proving this collision. Now, i believe that there was a foreign power that intervened in the us election of 2016 to frame the results. But i do not believe it was russia, i believe that it was britain. And still is a former british agent. There was a spy in moscow for three years. Donald trump at scare the hell out of the british establishment by endorsing brexit. And by opposing nato and opposing the united nations. And they have extensive reason to fear donald trump. But whoever did it, they came up with this dossier that hillary played 160,000 to a mass which is a totally flawed piece of garbage. Its an example that the gobetween that arranged the collision was a guy named michael cohen. He was the guy. He flew back and forth from new york to prague during the whole summer of 2016 arranging this collision. And then he produces a passport that had never been to prague. He had never been to the czech republic. He spent the whole summer in the states. And then they fingered a guy named who they say hacked the democratic computer grid and internet he was in a penal colony in siberia without access to phone or computer for pedophilia of all things. And could not possibly have done that. And one after another it just came flying apart including the prostitutes peeing on the bed. And it just became more laughable piece of garbage. And nobody in the American Media would touch it. They would not publish it no matter how hard they shopped it. Because they were afraid of it was unsubstantiated. Then steele took it to call me at the fbi. And said here is my dossier of what happened. And james comey said this is ridiculous. You have to substantiate this. You have to verify this. For us to use it. And then offered to pay him 50,000 to do so. In the middle of an election campaign, offering to subsidize the negative research of the Democratic Party against the republican party. Steel said i cannot do it. He said i did not write this. He said i got this from unsolicited anonymous sources. All i did was compile this. He swore under oath that that was the case. So the question is who fed him this garbage . I believe it may have been the cia and fbi. To develop this storyline in the first place. And the cia and the fbi refused to answer the question whether they had an ongoing financial relationship with steel. We know that they did Work Together to investigate the soccer scandal in 1991. And that they have a history together and we do not know the answer to that yet. That is one of the key things that grassley and feinstein are going to uncover in the Senate Intelligence committee hearings. As to created this dossier. But with all of its flaws, it became the basis for getting pfizer warrants to wiretapped quarter page, one of Donald Trumps socalled volunteers and Paul Manifort, his campaign manager. And on some said the fbis wiretapping me and they said youre crazy. Well, they were not wiretapping him they were wiretapping the guy that he spoke to five times an hour, Paul Manifort, his Campaign Chairman. And it was all justified by a warrant that could only have been rooted in the dossier. Back then that there was no other piece of evidence linking donald trump to the kremlin in any way. Anyway, before the election steele and his guys tried to peddle this dossier to get it printed. And nobody would touch if youre not a single blogger or Internet Company would print it. Right after the election, they get your conference in nova scotia. With john mccain speaking. They doctor john mccain and say hey, there is this dossier. And john mccain says yes, i know about it. I have heard about it. They said we have to get you a copy and he said okay that is fine send it to my office. And they said no, it doesnt work that way could you go to heathrow airport, meet flight abc, go into the baggage claim and you will find a guy there reading the financial times. Have your agent go up to him, exchange a word code and then youll get a copy of it. By the way, that is a comment unlimited print circulation in the financial times. [laughter] one guy in heathrow reading it. But, the, that was the message. Now john mccain has a copy of it and the first thing he did was bring it and give it to james comey. And now james comey, he had seen it before, he knows it is a piece of crap. But now he has officially received from a republican senator. So he has the excuse to bring it upstairs to the president. Obama, who has 11 days left in his chair. He takes it and gives it to congressional leaders and five minutes later it leaks in the media and it is all over the press. For the first time. But still nobody believes it. It is obvious garbage. So then, brennan and holder get a hold of these guys who they say stand by your desks, be our most time infiltrating this administration to bring it down. And they orchestrate like a conductor. A crescendo of leaks to justify the idea of this collision. The biggest one is three weeks after donald trump took office. When the New York Times ran a lead article stating the fbi had overheard russian intel officials plotting the collision with senior members of donald trump staff. And that they had a recording of these conversations. James comey called Reince Priebus that night and said im sorry, this isnt true i dont know where it came from. It is totally inaccurate. We never overheard that, weve no tapes or anything and Reince Priebus says will dont deny it to me. Go outside, they are battering my door and say it isnt so. And he says we cannot do this, it would be beneath the dignity of the bureau. That is one of the reasons why donald trump loves james comey. And now it is out, and it was ratified by the New York Times. It was four months until james comey said to a senate committee, this was garbage, it never happened and it was this information. Im sorry i dont know how it came out. In those four months it became the conventional wisdom. And that conventional wisdom led to sidetracking sessions to firing Michael Flynn to mousetrap in donald trump, to firing james comey and deleting to a special prosecutor. And we still debate this of the pfizer warrant on Paul Manifort and Donald Trumps campaign team. In the whole purpose of this was to discredit the president elect and then the president with a massive flow of disinformation. And that is what happened then and that is whats happening now. [laughter] [applause] now, where is this heading . Obviously, they have no way to establish that there was collision because it clearly was not. And more importantly, they cannot point to anything that russia did to influence the outcome of the election. Putting little as on the internet saying, attendant antiimmigration rally in union square, thats not going to happen. There is no evidence or suggestion of anything they might have done to turn the election around. And i know something about winning elections. There was nothing that could possibly or even remotely rise to that level. Like a popgun against a machine gun. And so they cannot prove that in they wont. Their strategy is now that they have a special prosecutor, a special prosecutor can look at anything he finds and prosecute any crime that he stumbles upon. I mean, ken starr was hired to investigate a real estate deal in arkansas and he ended up investigating oral sex in the white house. [laughter] a little bit of a difference but somehow rather it all came within the purview of the special prosecutor. What they are doing now is going to Paul Manifort and squeezing him and Paul Manifort got 10 or 20 million in cash from the bad guys in the ukraine. I work for the good guy in the ukraine. We beat them and i remember having lunch with Paul Manifort when he was named Campaign Chairman and saying, i have so enjoyed meeting you and he said i was paid 10 million, how much were you paid . [laughter] he did not really say 2 million but his that i was paid a lot, what were you paid . And i said i did it pro bono. But you know, the point was that they can go after him for anything. Did he report every penny of that . Did he send the disclosure that he is working for Foreign Government . Did he report all his lobbying activities . All that stuff is fair game. And the prosecutor will go after him. And will try to nail Paul Manifort with it. Then he will go after everybody. Theres a guy named carter page who is in their states. Carter page is a long time representative i think of Goldman Sachs in russia and he gave speeches during the campaign saying that it was his opinion that if donald trump was elected he was going to lift sanctions on russia. He claimed to be a donald trump advisor. And in the middle of the campaign they wrote him a message saying youre not an inside advisor. And because he had said that changes my belief that he is now going to be a witness. They will blow his testimony up into the end of the world. And this combination of a totally compliant press, hand in glove with the Intelligence Community using disinformation and leads to serve and as a serving president is literally what we are looking at today. And as this succeeds, Donald Trumps government also so was elected government in the us. Every president will be looking over his shoulder like he is in argentina saying what are the general thinking . [laughter] i know what the voters are saying but what does the military think the because the Intelligence Community will have manifested its ability to ask the president of the United States. In 1970, carter wanted to clear the cia. So he appointed sorensen to be the director. And so all of a sudden the marital history of sorensen with his first wife and that he was a conscientious during world war ii. In all kinds of stuff came out. And sorensen had to withdraw his nomination. The deep state taking care of its own and stopping a little borrow from taking over that agency who could expose them for what they had been doing. I believe that there are two key ways to beat this. The first is, i believe that we need a special prosecutor of our own. To investigate the leaks that are the core of the mueller investigation. Where did we get the information that Paul Manifort made almost 1 million in Eastern Europe . Not from Paul Manifort but leaks from the special prosecutor. Where did we get the information that after his house was searched the agents told him that youre going to be indicted . We got that from the investigation. All of these guys are specialists in leaking and they are using leaking to build a case in public before any defense attorney can be called, before the charges are put in writing. Before any of the procedural norms take place to create an atmosphere so prejudicial that the convictions for any of their indictments are almost inevitable. And secondly, there was a lot here that needs investigating. Apart from this ridiculous story of russian collusion. What did bill clinton ask Loretta Lynch on that airplane . In phoenix . [applause] what was behind james comey saying that he would exonerate hilary before she was even testified or before he had spoken to any of the 16 witnesses that he had called me what about the pay for play stuff . At the state department. Even more coming out yesterday about the paper plate. The guy wanted a meeting with the Prime Minister of singapore and again the cleansing, bill clinton 1 million speaking fee and the meeting was arranged. And all this stuff is now coming out and it is all paper plate. Can a prosecutor, transport get these guys back on defense. There is another strategy for us to understand. You cant impeach a president has 60 percent approval. You cant it does not matter what the legal this is not a legal proceeding. This is a political proceeding. This is not a random jury, this is the us elected. House of representatives elected and if you have a president on the ropes with a 40 percent Approval Rating, you might be able to impeach him. But if you have a president like i have filled bill clinton up to be with 62 percent approval in the impeachment, he isnt going anywhere. Nobody is going to throw him out of office. And evidence doesnt even matter at that point. It is a political proposition. Youre not going to take this president who is creating jobs, turning the henri around, obviously doing an incredible job and how because 20 years ago, he got money from russians he might have mob ties. Who bought apartments and the money may have been laundered but donald trump may have or may not have known about it. And we are not going to throw in a president doing a good job. My belief is that once donald trump needs to do is to do just what he is doing. Raise the ratings, governing with an eye towards accomplishing his agenda but also making himself more popular in the process. People are saying that donald trump is selling out and caving into the deep state. Well, there are sometimes and he is going to trim somewhat and i do not object to it. Take daca for example. To me what is important about daca is not the principles that if you came here illegally, even if you were an infant at the time, you will not be rewarded with the ability to stay here legally. I dont think that is particularly important. What i think is vital is that you dont become a citizen. See cannot be the anchor of a whole new immigration chain and bring in your spouse, your mother, father, third uncle once removed. And bring an entire village in with you all of them then have the right to be their own anchors to bring millions of people in and i believe that if donald trump uses that approach as i think you will, i think he may make some concessions but on the other hand i think it will be good and work out well. I think he needs to move aggressively in getting rid of obamacare. The bill that is pending on the senate is a very good one. It was originally ted cruz idea. Which was to give the money to the state and let them set up their own obamacare system or nothing or anything in between. But if that doesnt work, there is an administrative way to get rid of obamacare. And if you go to my website, dick morris. Com. You can sign up and get my columns each day and my lunch alerts broadcast, you will learn it. I think what obama can do is to say i am not going to enforce the mandate. As president , i can decide who the irs goes after into it doesnt go after. And i place a premium on tax cheats, not of the Health Insurance. And we may never get to your case. We may never get to your case. So if you want to send in a voluntary contribution of one percent of your income, because you dont have Health Insurance then be my guest will use it to reduce the national debt. But in the meantime, we cannot refill the provision so we will not enforce it. It would just sit there and in fact, it will be a meaningless mandate. And then, the problem in replacing obamacare is that it makes it illegal to go out and buy Health Insurance that does not contain all of the bells and whistles obamacare requires you to have. I am a 70yearold man, i need maternity benefits, substance abuse, psychotherapy, sex change operation, anything that is there i need to be in a position to get. Well, if i go out and get a policy where say that is not what i need. I just need barebones if i get cancer or heart disease, get run over by a bus. You are not allowed to buy that. And i would like a lower premium with that. We are not allowed to operate. But there is a loophole thank god. That obama put into the bill. It said that if it is a limited duration policy, which obama defined as three months like an emergency, you do not have to include all of the bells and whistles. And theres nothing on gods green earth to prevent the president what will happen then is that you have two systems. The subsidized system that will have very high premiums that nobody can afford with services nobody needs and the free market system that will work very well. Now, what about the people who are very sick, i need a lot of care because they have preexisting conditions and no Health Insurance will be able to cover them . I say, put them on medicare. Take them out of the system and say that you are now an honorary 65yearold. And we will cover you through medicare. In the last year of obamacares existence, most recent year, most recent year 132,000 people fell into that category. Of them, 6000 accounted for half of the cost. So cover them with medicare what is the big deal . You do not have to redraw a whole system to be able to accommodate those people. Now, tax reform. Make it voluntary do not go around and tell people that you cant deduct your mortgage interest. You cant deduct your state and local taxes. You cant deduct your charitable contributions. Say, deduct to your Hearts Content but in case you do not want to, instead 36 percent, we will charge you 21 percent. Eddie take no deductions at all. And you do the math. If you come out better than use the short form. If you come out better than use the long form. There is a trick americans spend 1. 7 trillion of money that they give to the government on personal income taxes. But they also spent 409 billion filling out the damn forms. And if you eliminate the forms, you eliminate the 409 billion that people get to keep that money. And everyone but a moron is going to say, i want to use a short form. And all of the lobbyists to go around and say that you bought the house, you rely on this deduction, you live in new york, the legislature is nuts, they will raise your taxes. You need to deduct them. We say yeah, go ahead, be my guest. But if it doesnt work out that well for you then use a short form and you can fill it out on a postcard. And everyone will. There are a bunch of things that they need to do to feed these ideas in. Because i believe no present with a 60 percent Approval Rating can be thrown out of office and that is what i think we are ultimately going to be left with. Thank you. [applause] i would be happy to take questions. Thank you so much for coming. You mentioned how president obama removes a lot of the deep state and some of the Civil Service problems while president chuck cant do it people what can he do . Is it possible for them to eliminate the deep state now . You can move into the bureau and anchorage alaska. With a limited clothing allowance. [laughter] the deal is that once you are on Civil Service youre stuck with it. But they cannot tell you what to work or on what or underwent working conditions. And he can deal with it. But understand, how deep the deep state runs and the fbi. Here we have president trump, we have a chinese we have Jeff Sessions and we have them say that there is no Public Interest in turning over Hillary Clintons emails. That is how deep the deep state runs. You have to work like crazy to get rid of it. Its like a wisteria brush in your garden. [inaudible question] they needed for cspan. Hello. You mentioned james comey. What was his passion to totally support the Previous Administration hillary, when he originally what made him move totally to sabotage . Percival, let me question your fundamental assumption. It is hillarys assumption that she was sabotage. The truth is that james comey looked at the emails and said that they show that she was fast and loose with National Security to the point of criminality. But we can show that you are motivated to anything other than loyalty to the country or yourself and that you did not have criminal intent so we will not prosecute. And that is where it stood in early july. Then in the middle of august, prosecutors for the fbi would nothing to do with the email scandal were investigating congressman anthony weiner. For sexting and they went to his computer and they saw all of the porn. Underneath that they saw hillarys emails. 13,000 of them. She never turned over. Which she turned over to huma abedin put them on her husbands computer. So she could tell the fbi no, sir, i did not have any of those emails. And they are not in my possession. They are on her husbands computer appears to james comeys that i want to read them. Then he had to announce this investigation is reopened. Because we have to read those. And when hillary said he decided to announce the opening of the investigation, it is because she plotted to hide the emails and almost succeeded until she was caught redhanded two weeks before the election. And that is the basis of her case. Which leaves, that information is left out. What motivates james comey think is a healthy sense of publicity. A healthy sense of making himself irreplaceable in the country. And i think that there is a real measure of ego behind this. And james comeys best friend is robert mueller. They Work Together incredibly. They were the pair that prosecuted Martha Stewart. He probably did insidertrading trip of ethics whenever prosecuted anybody at citibank that we are going after Martha Stewart for insidertrading pre you know it was kind of overzealous shall we say . Because of the headlines it would attract. And i think that james comey is really a publicity seeker. I look forward to his being indicted. And having to reveal [applause] what went on with Loretta Lynch and him and all of that. [inaudible question] define deep state . Entrenched bureaucracy. Will that are always there and will never leave you never go to the department of Motor Vehicles to renew your license . Ways a deep state no, it is both parties. Did you ever go to Motor Vehicles to get your license renewed . Do you know the old lady that processes it . That is deep state. [laughter] only, it is applied to the cia and the fbi and everything else. The people who will never leave who see it as their government. And everybody else is an interloper. Next question . Mr. Morris, thank you very much for being here tonight. You had mentioned about senators grassley and feinstein investigating the dossier situation. The thing is is that we saw what happened when they were investigating benghazi and nothing came of it. I am wondering, is that, are they going to be any more successful and why hasnt anything come out about who hired fusion to do this in the first place . Fusion refuses to hand over documents. They are hiding in britain we cannot subpoena him. We have asked the british courts to do it. We will get answers to that stuff. But i dont know if he saw the benghazi story two days ago. On sunday on tucker carlson. I was involved in that. There was a company that has just come forward now that was hired to protect the benghazi compound. 11 days before the attack. The state Department Says the guys in charge now are not doing the job. We want to elbow them aside and put you guys in. And they came but they were two or three weeks too late. They could have deployed three weeks after the attack. And unlike the guards there, they were armed. Because the state department insisted that the current guards not be harmed. Wooden batons against machine guns. For grenade throwers. And this implicates hillary deeply because she obviously knew that the benghazi compound was under serious threat. Because her people moved to replace the guards 11 days before the attack took place. Todd would with the washington times. Last week i spoke with he just met with assigns. Apparently he had information is trying to get to donald trump at kelly will not allow him to reveal the information . Do you know anything about that . Pro backer is suspect to me. He has always been relatively friendly with the kremlin. But on the other hand, he seemed to have the truth about wikileaks. Which is that they did not have hillarys computer. There was more likely a lead than 1 2. The whole issue of general kelly is troubling to me. And for those of you that are old enough to remember old men who was nixons gatekeeper. The gatekeeper can be very, very effective and really give the president for learning what he needs to learn. And the president sometimes is very limited in his ability to overcome that. When i worked for clinton, in 1995 or 96 we were determined to get Boris Yeltsin reelected president of russia. Talk about meddling in a campaign so clinton asked me how can we help him . And i said well, take my partner, a guy named dresdner and called for sales him and get him to hire him. Then he will be the poster and give me the polling. I will take it into your night and we will be his de facto Political Consultants. And clinton said that is great because yeltsin really trust my ability as a politician because he doesnt know anything about politics. Because they grew up in russia. So he did that. And yeltsin hired dresdner. And every week he would give me the polling. I would meet with clinton at the white house. Everyone else left, it was just the two of us. And we would map out his strategy to go to georgia tomorrow, you should go to ukraine the next day, you should sign this bill, oppose that bill. And then he put yeltsin on the hotline and told him what to do. At one point literally structuring the television commercials. Then he was supposed to run and that was an incredible effort aired an entirely secret and talk about meddling in a campaign we were running the campaign in russia [laughter] in any case, at one point sandy berger, the National Security advisor came over to me and said, are you giving the president dresdners poles . And i said yes. He said, i thought so because the other day at the meeting with eia, he was courting polling data that is not from our poles. And i said well i thought they he could use the accurate data for a change. And he said no, do not give it to the president. It will blow up, it will be bad for everybody. And i said okay sandy. I will ask him. So i went to clinton in eisenberger says such and such. What should i do . And clinton bravely said, keep giving me the polls but tell him you are not. [laughter] the president is tracked by the deep state, trapped by kelly. You can break free but it takes a lot to do that. Very hard to do that. Particularly when the media is wrought with stuff that the administration is in disarray, chaos or nobody is talking to anybody. You dont know how to be president , you are in over your head. And that if you were to fire kelly, the stories would all be, now we are back to chaos. He moved up in ratings because of kelly and discipline, but now that is gone. And theyre trying to keep the president under control. Mcmaster as well. That is what they got rid of steve bannon was really the enemy of the deep state in a very fundamental way. If you have any other questions mr. Washington times, please ask. [laughter] i am the back. Question immigration. From a personal point of view. I live on the east side of manhattan for 80 years. I cannot recall the last 10 to 15 years having a cabdriver that was born in this country. And it is very easy to tell. Very candidly, lets be serious. This countrys economy would collapse without these people doing things that neither you or i or anybody in the room would do. Comment, sir . I totally disagree with that. [inaudible] casing if we got rid of Illegal Immigrants no one would be left to do the jobs. I am saying that no one would be left to the jobs at the dirt wages that they get paid because of the competition from the third world. She but there was a census study about one year ago. It showed that 70 percent of the landscape employees in the country are citizens that something is like 60 percent of the Hospitality Industry are citizens. These are jobs that people will be willing to performs if the wages were raised to acceptable. That includes agricultural workers. And i believe that it is a total misnomer. That they would not where we would not take those jobs if they were available. We damn well wood. [applause] i just want to add one thing to the point and when i have a question which is now that robots are going to replace labor in the next 10 to 20 years. Uber drivers will not be here in the next five or 10 years. The same thing with picking agricultural crops. Now they are growing robotically indoors and we are not having machinery picked them. It is all supply and demand and some people just really like their cheap household help. This judgment is asking, can i go on . Actually had a question and i want to reply to that. For this gentleman is asking really the key question which is, it is very clear that very soon, all menial bluecollar jobs will be done by robots. In fact, a lot nonmedial, nonbluecollar jobs will be done by robots. You have yet to meet your first robotic lawyer but if you ever talk to counsel for an insurance company, you have a feel as to what it would be like. [laughter] limit, done that now. The point is that whenever something comes along, it changes the entire shape of the economy. But it does not destroy jobs. It destroys and it creates and if i were to look forward 20 years into the future, whole categories of occupation like cabdrivers, like bus drivers, like truck drivers, all these categories will be gone. It will no longer be necessary for these people to work to produce the goods and services that we need. We will not need them as workers. But we will still need them as consumers because the robot is not going to want to change addresses every year. The robot will not want to plant a flower garden. The robot will not want to take french lessons. The entire economy shifts at that point to more voluntary jobs, jobs are more in the service sector, jobs that relate more to leisure time. And it is important in the future that we separate production from income. In important ways. That is not the mantra pay everyone not to work. But it does say that we have got increasingly to understand that the need to generate income to people who can be consumers has to be some level upgraded from the need to produce goods. I think that is great. My question was really deep state related. I just want to reply to this guy. Billy thing he did not touch upon, debbie Wasserman Schultz and. As far as the dnc, do you have any information about the pakistani brothers that got caught sending my two pakistan and the laptop for debbie Wasserman Schultz at 3 am. That she yelled about . Out of you studied up and read up on it. It is incredible. I dont know it was too much to ask the lord for them when you do have hillary defeated and Wasserman Schultz indicted. [laughter] just too much. We can take two more. Thank you for coming today. Have a great Facebook Live, everyone should watch it. He is talking about that im two ways of human negating with the outside world. Now they do not work at fox. Because ben fox moved to the right, my neck was severed. But, one way in which i have been doing for five years now is if you go to dick morris. Com i do a lunch alert. It is a fiveminute video commenting on the events of the day. How many of you see them . Good. Youll find it very interesting and important. The other is for facebook folks. Every day at 4 oclock i do a 40 minute news show called deep six, the deep state. And today i got 100,000 people watching it. And i believe that is going to replace fox news and it will replace television. And i want my show right in there. In the middle of that. Im very jealous of your viewership. I do Facebook Live and i do not get quite that. What do you think of Jared Kushner . Does he know what he is doing . I cannot quite you dont hear him talk much. My second question is, when you release all of this stuff, are you afraid that you have an accident or Something Like that . [laughter] you know hillary has not killed me yet hillary has not killed me yet. So i think i will be okay. Your first question though was, when i met with Jared Kushner i have only met him once. I give them all kind of advice about the campaign. And he said policy is not my thing. I dont really know much about it and i do not focus on it much. I have difficulty understanding how he can be a white house advisor with that caveat. [laughter] last question. Two more questions. This gentleman and then not jonah. This is a different topic. But you are one of the experts on election. How did obama beat romney . Obama defeated romney because romney came to personify and embody exactly what this white bluecollar industrial worker hated. He was not a businessman. He was an investor. He was a financier. He is the guy that would outsource their jobs, close down your factory, and make a killing for his investments. And people saw him not just as an advocate of their own policies but the enemy incarnate and personified. And it was the outrageous stupidity of the Romney Campaign that even when my friend pat and i were begging and pleading and shouting and yelling and damn near self emulating to get them to listen to that, they never did. Just did not understand it. And that is a funny thing about this new trump strategy. The other side just does not get it. They dont understand it. Who are these people . You know, where do they come from . Last question. Thank you someone for the fascinating sharing of your insight into the washington party. My question is, when did your intelligence people become so deeply involved in the domestic politics because is a tradition for is a new phenomenon . Because that really is going to hurt our great country. China same thing. Because of this, intelligence and the politics, there in a mess right now. That is something that i want to have your comments and insight. I have a chapter in my book answering that question. I think the Tipping Point was really the nixon administration. When nixon insisted on using the cia and the fbi for domestic political purposes. Remember, nixon tried to blame watergate on the cia. And they would not let it happen. The idea of making intelligence political, really developed during that period. In a different sense it goes back to eisenhower. Because after truman set up the cia, eisenhower said, i know that we will never use nuclear weapons. And i do not want to keep an army here. And bankrupt us with the cost of doing so. I want a cheap, inexpensive way of stopping communism. And the cia came and said the coup dctat let us do that. And they pulled up in guatemala and i ran successfully for no money. And eisenhower said i want you guys to do this all over the world. And the cia developed the ability and went into guatemala, i ran, chilly twice, the congo, all kinds of places doing that. And he became their mo. It became a short distance as they go from doing that abroad to doing that at home. Thank you, this was fun [applause] thank you so much.
