I would like to have one if you say a few words about coach brooks, because he was very, very he was a big heart for this team. I think it would be appropriate if you had a few minutes if herb brooks daughter kelly who is here representing and i can honestly tell you that kelly was not ready for this at all. You got it . Her dad was an amazing coach, a great teacher, a great motivator at times, maybe too much of a motivator. He was very demanding. He was very difficult to play for, but there was never one today we didnt respect the man and there was never one to date we didnt trust him and what he was trying to do. He orchestrated the greatest sports moment of the 20th century and the guys behind me are so proud and honored to have been a part of him and what he was able to put together. It was a perfect environment, sometimes, not only a great coach, but great players and people who stand behind me now. If kelly would like to say couple of words . And then the show started at 10,ent to 8, 7, 5, went to four to, and it went to one peer have the number one show in television. Phenomenalenomenal, and the final episode, do you remember that . Do you remember that . Do you remember the final . I dont know. It was one of the biggest shows of the year. It was a tremendous success, but here i was. I signed with nbc and they did not want to waste ink on an option. Usually they have an option. They did not do it, you stupid people. So they paid me very little. I think 25,000, which is not good thats ok. It was fun. I didnt know it was good to be so successful. Hey, it is 8 [cheers and applause] pres. Trump because when i left , arnold schwarzenegger, and i like arnold said some very nice things. But the show did not exactly succeed when i left. I had an agent, a wonderful guy from wilmington morris, and he said sir, i dont want you to sign. No business show has ever done well in network television. Sir, i dont want you to sign. Sir, dont sign. I have a problem. I shook the hand of somebody. I have to. And mark burnett was great. He was my guy. But we shook hands so i have to, but i agreed. I did not know a business type show at never succeeded on network television. So i said i cant break it. I cant break it. Anyway, so the show started at 10, went to nine. Who was the number one show all of a sudden. The agent called me up and he said, sir, i remember it was 6 00 a. M. And i was in bed, he said, sir, the show just went to number one. I would love to see you because i think im entitled to more money. I said, you did not want me to do the show. He said, not really, i was ok. I said, jim, i like you very much. Jim, you are fired, get out. [cheers] pres. Trump anyway, i had 14 great seasons over about 11 years because it was so successful. Remember when they did the three hours . Gone with the wind is shorter. They had the apprentice on for three hours. They had it on for three weeks, we did fantastic. Comcast did great, nbc did great. They wanted me to sign for another three years. I said no, im going to run for president. That was the time when i knew i was going to run. They were paying a lot of money. Whether you are rich or not, that is a lot of money. I said no, im going to run for president , and i did that. But from the day i ran, it went from being wonderful they were nice. If i did not do well with the show, they wouldnt have been nice. The business is a very simple business. If you have good ratings, you can treat them like garbage and if you have bad ratings, you can say sir, i really respect you so much. Get out of here. They are very ruthless people.
