Crosswalk Enforcement Effort to Be Held Today By Rob Sussman Jun 23, 2021 | 3:32 PM GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — A crosswalk enforcement effort will be held across Brown County in the coming months. The first enforcement event is Thursday. Officers will be stationed at crosswalks in Allouez, Bellevue, Denmark, De Pere, and Green Bay to enforce crosswalk safety and yielding for crossing pedestrians. Local law enforcement has partnered with Wello, a community non-profit, and their “Yield to Your Neighbor” Campaign. “It’s not an excuse for officers to give out tickets,” said Mario Gonzales, Wello’s Communications and Marketing Manager. “It’s really to remind people of the law, which is when you see a pedestrian in the crosswalk, we yield to them.”
