A Hummer with flags joins the Fourth of July parade in Creswell that went on without a permit.
Two local organizers of the controversial, unpermitted Fourth of July parade in Creswell have been fined $2,550 each for violating city codes, the Lane County Sheriff's Office said.
The two organizers — Julie Bivens of Creswell and Chris Tough, who is affiliated with the far-right extremist group Proud Boys, of Cottage Grove — were each given two citations.
The first citation, for organizing and participating in the parade, is a $50 fine; the second, for "soliciting or confederating to violate an ordinance," is $2,500.
