Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation officials and BJP councillors have initiated an independent crematorium for stray cows. They aim to efficiently dispose of deceased cows without resorting to the pollutive landfills. The facility will cost up to Rs 6 crore and it is the first of its kind in the state. A committee of deputy commissioners has been assembled to analyze different aspects and produce a comprehensive report.
