MELAKA: The registration rate for the Covid-19 vaccine in Melaka began to show an increasing trend since the end of May, with an average new registration of between 5,000 and 7,000 people daily.
State National Security Council (MKN) director Mohd Nasrul Menhat said this was a positive indicator in achieving the herd immunity target by inoculating 80 percent of the country’s population.
“As of June 1, a total of 385,184 people have registered as vaccine recipients or 54.95 percent out of the state’s total population of 701,000 people who are eligible for the vaccine.
“Melaka Tengah recording the highest number of registration at 246, 276 followed by Alor Gajah (80,755) and Jasin (58,153),” he told Bernama here today.
