Covid US: 19 out of over 6,800 NC summer day camp attendees

Just 19 children and staffers out of more than 6,800 were infected at North Carolina summer day camps, study finds - as Duke researchers join CDC calls for school to restart
Researchers looked at coronavirus infections among 6,830 campers and staffer at 54 YMCA day camps across North Carolina in 2020
Masks and social distancing were required as well as daily temperature checks, symptom screenings and frequent hand washing or sanitizing 
A total of 10 of 5,344 campers - or 0.18% - tested positive for the virus with the majority occurring at indoor camps
Nine staff members out of 1,486, 0.6%, were infected with COVID-19
No hospitalizations were reported and there were no clusters of five cases or more were reported at a single camp
