The study, launched by the University of Stirling, has received £375,000 to investigate the long-term effects that some patients have experienced since contracting coronavirus.
Professor Kate Hunt, an expert in behavioural science and health at the Institute for Social Marketing and Health, will lead the study.
She said: “Our study will look at those suffering from prolonged symptoms – known as long COVID – to produce a reliable, evidenced online resource with practical information and support for those affected and their families and carers.
