The unvaccinated man in his 30s who had been the centre of Queensland’s COVID scare could potentially be admitted to intensive care at the Gold Coast University Hospital.
The man is struggling to breathe and can barely speak with authorities yet to interview the man to determine where he had been over the past 10 days while out in the community and not using QR check-ins.
Chief Health Officer Dr Jeannette Young believes it is unlikely the man left his Broadbeach home where he lives alone due to the condition of his health from the virus.
Queensland has recorded no new cases even as a truck driver with one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine has tested positive in Victoria but was infectious in the sunshine state from October 18 to 19.
The new cases are a wake-up call to Queenslanders ahead of another super Pfizer Saturday with 100 schools across the state to be turned into a vaccination clinic in an effort to boost vaccination rates.
