Covid: Eliud Kipchoge receives vaccine ahead of Tokyo Olympics

Eliud Kipchoge has received a Covid-19 vaccine in preparation for the Tokyo Olympics this summer.
The world marathon record holder was reportedly given the vaccine at Kenyatta University Teaching, Research and Referral Hospital alongside his Olympic marathon teammates on Monday, April 26, Kenyan media reports.
Kipchoge reportedly said, ‘My preparations for the Olympic Games are going on well and one of the preparations is to get a jab. We never know what will happen in the future, the vaccine might be a prerequisite going forward so it is good to take the vaccine early enough,’ he added.
He had recently returned to Kenya after winning the NN Mission Marathon in the Netherlands just over a week ago.
