Public health officials will conduct free COVID-19 testing at the Lucerne Valley Senior Center on Saturday, Feb. 6, following the opening of a week-long appointment window.
The testing — provided by San Bernardino County — is scheduled to take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 6. Those who attend are not required to have symptoms before receiving a test. Face masks are required at all times during the event.
Appointments recommended
County officials, in a flier, said appointments were “highly recommended” due to a high demand for testing. As a result, Walk-ins may experience longer wait times.
The appointment window opens Saturday, Jan. 30, according to Lucerne Valley Economic Development Association President Chuck Bell, who emphasized that the event is not for vaccinations.
