Wesley Starritt was accused of killing 84-year-old Roger Mitchell Clark at the man’s home and 56-year-old Charles Levaugh as he slept in an alley on E Street, both in the Eureka area. He was also accused of stabbing both 38-year-old Ciuleandra Smith in Cooper Gulch after she denied him a cigarette and 43-year-old Bryan Tatum on the 1900 block of Holly Street in Eureka in 2020. Starritt was deemed mentally competent enough for criminal proceedings in June following years of transport hearings and mental evaluations.
