Couple was once honored by governor for volunteerism

LAKE MILTON — The Mahoning County Coroner’s Office has identified the couple who died in an early Saturday house fire on Roselawn Street as Kaye, 85, and Murle McLaughlin, 94.
Autopsies will be performed at the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s office. The fire remains under investigation by the Milton Township Fire Department and coroner’s office.
Crews found the single story home engulfed in flames when they arrived. The fire was reported at 3:25 a.m.
Flames were coming from three sides of the house and the roof, Milton Township fire Chief Harold Maynard said.
