Conejo Valley school district solicits applicants to fill board vacancy View Comments Conejo Valley Unified School District is accepting applications over the next two weeks for appointment to a board of trustees seat vacated by its former president, Jenny Fitzgerald. Fitzgerald gave formal notice of her resignation to the county superintendent of schools on June 25, 2 ½ years into her four-year term, according to the district. To fill such a vacated seat, school districts have 60 days to order an election or make a provisional appointment, according to the state education code. Conejo trustees voted for the latter option at a special board meeting Wednesday.
