In the United States, one out of every five individuals meets criteria for a mental illness in a given year.
In Bexar County, that means over 400,000 people will experience the signs and symptoms of a mental illness this year. Perhaps more disturbing is that the majority of adults and children diagnosed with these conditions receive no treatment.
