According to the initial draft agenda, a total of 544 new residential living spaces will be presented to the commission, including: The conversion of the existing building at 1813 Main St in downtown Columbia to a 26-unit multifamily apartments and commercial mixed-use property. Development of approximately 94.3 acres located at the intersection of Garners Ferry and Old Garners Ferry roads (8025 and 8041 Garners Ferry Rd) to a 368-lot single-family residential subdivision called Garners Mill. The property is currently under consideration for annexation into the City of Columbia. If approved, it will sit across Garners Ferry from another proposed development along Benson Road. The site plan for that 126-acre property was under Planning Commission review in July. Known as Cameron Ridge (Benson Road subdivision), the developer plans for 374 single family lots along both sides of Benson Road.
