COLCHESTER United boss Hayden Mullins says trialists Richard Kone and Bayli Spencer-Adams will be given longer to try to earn a contract at the club. The young duo have been with the U's throughout pre-season and have featured in all of their friendlies to date. Former Athletic Newham striker Kone and ex-Watford defender Spencer-Adams both appeared as late substitutes in Colchester's 3-0 friendly defeat at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur, on Wednesday night. And Mullins says the pair are likely to be given more minutes when the U's host League One side Gillingham in their next pre-season game tomorrow. Mullins said: “They’ve got a little bit longer with us.
