staying on their people for years what do you think this is really interesting? >> anything to write a book? >> yes, it is to conquer a field because not many people next you'll probably get a deal with blockbuster video opinion. i loved the because i've always loved bill meds and pinion thank opinions about the whole covid thing. i always loved getting my medical advice from a club act a little bit, just study medical center. >> if you really want to get into that, i mean, we see now that we've couple of years have passed it so many the things they said were wrong there now, even the new york times now is saying that they started in the lab, that it was not from the wet markets. what do you think about that? comedy legend really belt because everyone loves you. thank do, they don't. i mean republicans don't like you democrats don't like you kids do the twin. now i never been married. well never married has been so much finally, i got to wrap it in your book is absolutely the way thank you because i've always felt and i mean, this honest-to-god, not going to but i feel that the boring and tedious guests make me a better interviewer. so thank you. >> remedy the funniest thing the most anticipated moment of this election and the stakes couldn't be higher. >> the president and the former president one stage two, very different visions for america's future. the cnn presidential debate thursday net it now live on cnn and streaming on max known for following your dreams known for keeping with tradition, known for discovering new places. no one wants to be known for cancer, but a treatment can be keytruda is known to treat cancer. fda approved for 17 types of cancer, including certain early stage and advanced cancers. one of those cancers is early stage non-small cell lung cancer, keytruda may be used with certain chemotherapies before surgery when you have early stage lung cancer, which can be removed by surgery and then continued alone after surgery to help prevent your lung cancer from coming back keytruda can cause your immune system to attack healthy parts of your body during or after treatment. >> this may be severe in lead to death. see your doctor right away? >> all right. follow that, guys all right. >> he is new york state's former three term governor andrew cuomo is over public and congressman from illinois author of the book, renegade and founder of the country first pag, adam kinzinger is so go down well such a pro just melted into laughter. >> but what can he do with that? i mean, that's the 20 well as in yeah. okay. so switching gears here now since both of you are people who have been in office and our recently out of office. i'm not sure that's your choice, but well honestly, i feel like you're both feel like the coach that you see in the booth on the nfl, the nba was really trying to get back in the game when he's mating for that coaching job has happened with the guy in the lakers. >> okay let me ask the political question. >> if if biden won't step aside and look so it won't even though i think he should have long time ago and still not too late. the question becomes, what kind of campaign is he running? as two political savants? here? >> is he running a good campaign? >> and how, what have you, we're running it. >> what would you be telling him? and what would you do to run it better? >> yeah i don't think he's running running an especially good campaign. >> frankly i think there's a big question that he has to answer, which is about his age as viability, et cetera. and i think the only way you answered that is by getting out there and letting people see you that's the only way you put it to rest. and i don't think you can hide from that bill and i think he should be more aggressive in that regard. i think you should also be more aggressive in talking about with this campaign is really all about, right? because it's really bigger than trump and biden and this campaign is about division versus unity. it's about whether we are going to exploit differences or whether we're going to find commonality still the united states or is it the divided states? and i think is that binary a choice? and i think you should frame the race that waits now, that seems, that seems like the kind of lofty ideas he is running on. that's not working. >> people seem to be saying we want we care about the pocketbook issues. >> yeah, we can this is a across the lines of race, of gender everybody seems to be saying the same thing. it's inflation, it's pocketbook issues, it's things like that that hit us every day in our everyday lives. and you guys are talking about ukraine and gaza and israel and depth democracy. i agree with your democracy he is on the line. it just doesn't seem to connect with the people. i mean, i could go through the stats here of the people he's losing. it's a little scary because he's losing the people who are supposed to be the ones in the democratic camp immigration. i saw this week. okay. he's allowing us citizens now to their spouses to apply for permanent residency been here for sometimes up to ten years, married, not a citizen. okay. that's kinda pandering to not working 45% of hispanic voters prefer biden compared to 39% for trump. last time he one 150, 9%. that was 2020. so he's lost 14 points there he went to morehouse. he said, what is democracy? we have to be ten times better than anyone else to get a fair shot that seemed like pandering to me black voters under 50 he led by 80 points in 2020. now by 37 still a lot, but he lost 43 points off the key constituency. student loans. >> he's forgiven $144 billion in student loans only 30 per 36% of student debt holders like it. i mean, if you can't win the people you're pandering to. yeah. i mean, i get it. politics is somewhat about pandering. that's not an insult you spoke to do what people want to a certain degree, also be a leader. but if you're not winning these groups and he's lost 8% off women since 2020 and yet i read in the polls, he pulled ahead this week explain that to me because trump's psycho and i think people are starting to see that if you look, the last few years, trump's kinda been in and out of the press. he still consumed everybody's consumed with them. but when you start seeing him talk again, i do think the felonies have heard him, but when you see him talk again, people feel this exhaustion coming back. so i think that's a change what's happening right now? is there's still this belief that identity politics works. and i don't think it works, doesn't, it doesn't work. people are voting now the political realignment is kind of this middle-class it to sign of progress educated, yeah, it is a sign of the progress we've made in this country. >> it is, and it looked, there's no doubt, but that you have to speak to people where they are, right? and it is about the cost of living and not as an abstract concept, it's about the cost of your groceries and gasoline and health care, et cetera. and those are the issues that he has to address. but i still think one of the issues he has little table bill is his personal capacity to lead and that has to be answered at the same time. >> it also wouldn't immigration. this is screaming at people as the number one concern and as political party of a choice to make, you can either listen to the concerns like you were talking about earlier or at some point say those concerns aren't real people are concerned with the border. i'm about as moderate to almost liberal on immigration. i think we have to be a welcoming country, but we have to have security on the border, i think is executive order was important but then they cut they then come out with this new thing, which kind of washes away what he did on the executive order. i think lean forward on immigration. you're going to tick off your left base, but that's okay because they're going to vote for you. who's not voting for you and who you have to try to win is the middle. >> yeah. right. >> and with that, i agree that his immigration policy was a mistake, right? >> i get the theory of the extreme left where land of immigrants let everyone come in. >> we all came as immigrants i get it. but how you do it makes all the difference in the world, right and to just open the borders with no plan, you don't know where they go. you don't know who's going to pay for them. they wind up in cities all across the country, new york has a couple of hundred thousand in hotels costing new york city of fortune. no jobs, no training, no help us assimilating into society. >> so who did you even help? >> right? >> it was a great uri. >> you have the person in your old job, the governor of new york democrat saying, don't come here. that's her exact words. don't come here. and the mayor of new york saying, this is going to ruin our city i mean, i didn't know who was talking about what thought that would be. republicans yeah. >> they didn't stop them built. they could have stopped that bright, be governor were saying she didn't want them outside of new york city but the mayor could have said no the governor could have said no. many mayors and governors said no. but new york was more of the ideological left all are welcome and now we're finding out 200,000 people later. >> you needed a plan. >> you needed to know what to do with these trump is up. >> here's a 23 point edge with latinos on the issue of border security. i feel like this is not those issues where the democrats trying to be so on racist directly kind of racist because they don't, they don't seem to seem latinos as americans all right but they care about border security to their here and as one of the few republicans who i must commend you said you're going to vote for biden, right? >> okay. usually usually republicans who don't want trump, they just still don't have the balls to say. yeah, but i'm gonna vote for the other guy. yeah. well, i'm gonna write in mickey mouse or ronald reagan or so i'm still be like that. >> yeah but here's an issue like west maurice, the governor maryland, he's 45 afghan vet. >> he should be running. okay mass pardon of 175,000 marijuana convictions. this biden could do it i mean, trump is in las vegas where i'm going later today to perform this weekend it is talking in. vegas off the top of his head. he said no touching tips you know, because a lot of people are waiters and waitresses in that industry. i know it's going to go down well at the spirit rhino, no taxing again it's kind of a pander, but if it works, and again, the marijuana thing, that's not a pander, even though it would work that way, it's just good. common sense and politics. i don't know why he doesn't do things like that. or you mentioned health care. i mean, the obamas subsidies expire next here, unless congress acts. why doesn't he run on this guy's going to take it away. i was one of the ones who gave it to you. >> it's like ten god words i don't just not running and i think that's the thing is he has to be aggressive against donald trump. what donald trump has going for him is he's got that lizard brain that just knows what people want to hear at that moment, like to tip thing and he can pander like that joe biden is a decent man. he's not a riot you know, he needs to go against what donald trump is saying and talking about what this really means for things like abortion policy, for things like health care, et cetera. he's gotta go hard on that, i think and hope you will see that, particularly as it's going to be continuing tight race. >> so the debate is in six days these rules. now here are no rules, no audience, never seen that at a debate. know huddling with your staff and two breaks? no notes, and they cut the mics when you're not talking also, every each candidate gets to have a pen, a bottle of water, and a notepad winner first the one who can tell which is which who do these rules help? >> i don't know here's the thing that concerns me a little bit is part of this exhaustion with trump, is that he doesn't shut up. he keeps talking. >> remember the last debate where he kept over top biden and biden just kinda sat back and it actually helped biden. >> i worry that the mic cuts situation, it's probably better for america because we get to here real things talked about, but i worry that that's going to tamp down on some of the psycho nas that he has and people aren't going to quite see it as well, will depend where do not you keep talking even though the mic biden has to look into if you had to pick a word is strong, he has to look like he did with the state of the union. he has to come out. he has to be strong trump will be overbearing because he thinks he's gonna show his strength by just overpowering biden and i think i'll overdo it and shutting off the mic. i really believe he's going to keep well, the republicans believe he will be very bureau because he's on drugs tomorrow one nation could play a big role in this year's election america's next door neighbor from the order to the economy, to the cartels for weed, zakaria examines america's mess with mexico tomorrow with aid on cnn i'm getting vaccinated by ssrs, pneumococcal pneumonia vaccine because i'm at risk for pneumococcal pneumonia already got pneumonia vaccine. >> but i'm asking about the added protection of krever 20. >> if you're 19 or older certain chronic conditions like asthma, diabetes, copd, or heart disease, or are 65 or older, you are at increased risk for pneumococcal pneumonia, prevnar 20 is approved in adults to help prevent infections from 20 many strains of the bacteria that caused pneumococcal pneumonia in just one dose. don't get prevnar 20 if you've had a severe allergic reaction to the vaccine or its ingredients, adults with weakened immune systems may have a lower response so the vaccine, the most common side effects were pain and swelling at the injection site, muscle pain, fatigue, headache, and joint pain. >> i want to be able to keep my plans. >> i don't want to risk ending up in the hospital with pneumococcal pneumonia. >> that's why i chose path. now your doctor or pharmacist about the pfizer vaccine for pneumococcal pneumonia michelin innovates once more with michelin acoustic technology, reducing kevin noise by cushioning road vibrations ciao michelin motion for life that colonoscopy for getting screens while i'm delaying. >> i heard i had a choice. >> i know the name. that's what i'm saying go the guard cola. guard cola guard? >> screen for colon cancer at home. >> like you want, you can actually he's cola guard has a one-of-a-kind way to screen for colon cancer that's effective and non-invasive is for people 45 plus at average risk, not high-risk, false positive and negative results holds may occur. asked your provider for cola guard. >> i did in my way i want a lot of businesses, so my tech and my network need to keep up. thank you. verizon business now our businesses get fast and reliable internet from the same network that powers our phones. >> so whenever we're a slow network is no network for business. that's why more choose comcast business. and now, we're introducing ultimate speed for business —our fastest plans yet. we're up to 12 times faster than verizon, at&t, and t-mobile. and existing customers could even get up to triple the speeds... at no additional cost. it's ultimate speed for ultimate business. don't miss out on our fastest speed plans yet! switch to comcast business and get started for $49.99 a month. plus, ask how to get up to an $800 prepaid card. call today! bonus. make every day. oh, winning day closed captioning brought to you by thunder shirt, constant gentle pressure for a calmer pet. >> if your dog suffers from fear of thunder, fireworks, separation, or any other anxieties, thunder shirt can help thunder shirts find it. retailers like pet smart and petco i got to say this about, well, this is that i got to say this about the republicans man, when they get a new talking point i don't know if they meet in a secret underground layer but when the memo goes out, they all get on the same page and the new pages that biden. >> yes. we all say he's feeble. are most of the time, but when he's not when he's actually not being feeble is because he's on drugs, play the way we put together a little run of people talking about this on conservative media tonight america saw, let's say, a very different joe biden, i might call them jacked up joe. joe biden must have been jacked up on something he's jacked up. they jacked him up. he'll be jacked up if no need to goose him and joseph he's going to be so pumped up. he's going to be pumped up. >> i'm gonna demand a drug test. i don't want him coming in like the state of the union. >> he was high as a kite that's it joe biden, his jacques job. >> he's it out. he's completely out of control i think they're under something here and would you like to see some of the proofs for example the white house gibbs job now sells a tiny spoon with the presidential seal right? >> he expanded obamacare to cover nosebleed he wants to move there hey, to miami. well now he's asking hundred endures him to his friend lately when he sniffs women's, harry's been using a straw the name a post office after marion barrett the secret service code name is andy dick i mean, he's been prone to the dea. >> is that bunch of narc lately he stays up to the crack of dusk it gives babbling about how we want to spend more time working on his music i'm thinking, i'm going to die and i thought that was it earth with we have schreiber tomorrow with nine on cnn michelin innovates on the road and far beyond by manufacturing costs, thetic leg belt that allow for greater flexibility of movement michelin motion for life. what treasure supply customers experience is personalized service made possible by t-mobile for business with t-mobile's reliable 5g business, internet employees get the information they need instant. this is how business goes further with t-mobile for business i have type two diabetes, but i'm managing its little pill with the big story to tell. i take once-daily jati jordan's works 24/7 but in your body to flush out some sugar and four adults with type two diabetes and known heart disease, jordanians can lower the risk of cardiovascular death to serious side effects may include ketoacidosis that may be fatal, dehydration that can lead to sudden worsening of kidney function and genital yeast or urinary tract infections a rare life-threatening bacterial infection in the skin of the perineum could occur, stuff dirty and some call your doctor right away if you have symptoms of this infection ketoacidosis, or an allergic reaction, you may have increased risk for lower limb loss. call your doctor right away. if you have symptoms of infection in your legs or feet, taking guardians, but this will find urea or insulin may cause low blood sugar rallies e doctors preferred better science, better results historically, the soviet union killed traders i started to run two kgb cars, had come behind us didn't know what to do secrets and spies. a nuclear game tomorrow at ten on cnn we've got to go to don't eat undercooked infected canadian bear meat like a sound dakota man did, because the bad news is now we has worms the good news is if comic books are true, he'll turn into a superhero and have the powers of either a bear or a worm or possibly an undercooked canadian but be careful with worms. bobby kennedy caught worms and they went right to his head the role before you pay $40 for this theft deterrent light box, it makes robbers think your home watching tv, shop around because you should know that for $50 you can buy an actual tv leave that on when you're not home, it really looks like a tv and robberies can see it from the street and think, let's deal that tv you're all these children can celebrate the 50th anniversary of the rubik's cube, but don't bother inviting me. i find them difficult, annoying, and pointless, and i don't like rubik's cube either. neural, if you're selling me something, you claim is clinically proven to reduce pain and it looks like this. you have to tell me what the it is where does it go how it reduces pain because if it's going in me it looks like it causes pain new rule whatever rat boy sommer is, leave me out of it according to the internet, women are gaga for a new type of hot guy. >> he was rodents like features signs your man might qualify include, he drags pizza slices down subway money comes, you jump up in spring and finally, new rule. okay, boomer isn't an argument. it's actually an admission. you don't have one gen z complains a lot that i make fun of them, but i don't feel too bad about it because they never engaged with the idea itself it's always just your old yeah, that's not an argument. it's a prejudice. the thing you purport to hate i'm sorry i'm sorry that i can't look at your queers for palestine banner and pretend it's not idiotic, but just because something is progressive doesn't always make it progress. it's about ideas, not age and to prove my point tonight, i'd like to talk about how mind-blowing link patch it crazy a lot of people a jar a funny thing is happening in this election. the younger voters are liking trump more and more, and the over 60 ground which normally leinz republican is this time preferring biden. and i think i know why. if you're my age, you've seen friends and loved ones? go down a facebook rabbit hole or get sucked into the fox news vortex and never come back the same transformed from a normal person into some lunatic who's hoarding survival seeds and things, jewish space lasers cause wildfires chem trails are a form of mind control there's a viral tweet that says fox news and facebook did to our parents what they said video games would do to us i think the reason biden is winning seniors is we want our friends back we all have that uncle or grandparent or in-law? or favorite tv star or movistar who used to be an everyday reasonable citizen, but now forwards emails and all caps about election conspiracies and q1 on conspiracies and what five j is really going to be used for. and what's going on in the basement of hillary's pizza parlor how the reptilian shadow government is threatening to turn everyone gay by putting fluoride in the budweiser a popular political book once asked, what's the matter with kansas today, we have to ask, what's the matter with grandma we've watched too many friends disappear into this weird black hole. many are married to supreme court justices two days hey, it's after the 2020 election. clarence thomas, wife ginni, who met clarence back in the 1980s when they did porn together she, forwarded text to the chief of staff of the president of the united states saying that she heard that the biden crime family and ballot fraud coconspirators. we're going to be taken to barges off guantanamo bay to face military tribunal tribunals. >> and then she wrote, i hope this is true yes. and i hope you get checked for lead poisoning then there's america's karen martha, and alito, wife have justice samuel alito who holds a master there's degree in library science and yet has devoted her life to waging war against neighborhood lawn signs martha and rants about getting even with the media, not realizing that now cooks like her are the media a recent study, found that a mere 2,100 people accounted for spreading 80% of the fake news on twitter during the last election and most of them were older, white republican women we have met the russian troll bought army and it's your aunt bonnie it is the enters who post all day and it's always a retweet and it's always wrong they watch lies on tv and believe it because it's tv. >> and then posted to their friends who believe it because it's facebook and it's not just facebook, but also x, formerly known as twitter and fox news, formerly known as news a study once found that using the fox news website as a new source made you lessen form than watching no news at all it's the ozempic of knowing thing and still not as bad as the news finds me people. yeah, that's the growing cohort of americans who believed that the story is important enough, it will find its way to their social media feed. yeah, these are people who trust their facebook friends to watch hanadi for them but here's the thing with kids when they get lost to the insanity of social media, we can an increasingly schools districts are doing this taking away their phones for at least part of the day. but you can't take away a 70-year-old phone. you can just make the text smaller so we have to figure out why so many seniors are so susceptible to fake news. now part of it is unlike the kids they didn't grow up with media, corporate funded narrative driven, and completely partisan. so when that came along they had no immunity for it. boomers, we grew up with old school time magazine and walter cronkite, closest thing to fake news back then was pretending liberality was looking for a woman the boomer generation never developed the antibodies for clickbait. they turned on the tv one de and lawrence woke, was gone. and in this place was some guy named lou dobbs who was telling you the reason you had a good weekend was donald trump? have a great. weekend the president makes such a thing possible for us all how does this happen? >> well, part of it, the left has to own the presence of an aggressively anti common sense agenda on the far left is a powerful magnet pulling people to the right. but also hold people are just cranky which fits very well with the hating menu prepared at fox and facebook and there's one other reason because this is america, where we abandon our elderly to nursing homes. because just leaving them in the forest is illegal so we can't be too surprised when they turn to the fox news family as a replacement for their own. warehouse, them in homes, gouge them on their medications, target them with phone and internet scams, and forced him to work past retirement age we treat old people like children and children like sages, know nation disrespects the elderly like america does, makes them feel invisible, barely tolerated an underappreciated for the wisdom they could offer. and maybe that's what drives so many to be hateful to anything coming from younger people who have not been particularly nice to them maybe the generation gap can't be bridged, but that would be a good place to start. all right. that's our show this weekend at the end here boston july 20, section connecticut on the july 27 i don't kinzinger and gemini thank you very much he devastating and sudden power of tsunamis, it happened in far away lands and it's easy to think it can't happen here if one hits home, we'd be ready. >> while in birth, would liev schreiber next on cnn, apartments.com. let's any landlord find qualified renters and signed leases and collect payments from any place even here. >> and where's here? >> he sled de rent ada apartments.com the place to list a place michelin innovates on the road and far beyond with airless tire design for exploring new frontiers michelin motion for life i want a lot of businesses. so my and my network need to keep up. thank you. verizon business now, our business get fast and reliable internet from the same network that powers our phones. >> so whatever's next, we're cooking with fire switch to the partner. businesses rely on the cockroach resilient creatures, true? miracles of evolution, where there is one others aren't farber hi scavenging for food. the cockroach will. >> now that's horrifying your favorite ortho home defense max enduring sec barrier. >> one application kills and prevents bugs for 365 days my house you down nature's wild your home doesn't have to be an alternative to pills, walter and is a clinically proven arthritis pain relief gel which penetrates deep to target the source of pain non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicine directly at the source, walter and the joy of movement ms bathrobe. >> so musty new fast acting drop-in tab attracts and traps excess moisture, eliminating musty okay, everyone or mission is to provide complete balanced nutrition or strength and energy ensure with 27 vitamins and minerals nutrients for immune health, and ensure
