we had reported that the expectation would be that we first needed to see if we could get through the first day and the second day of the hostages being released and if everything goes well, then discussions of additional hostages beyond the women and children getting out. i have the tell you that i do feel it is getting ahead of ourselves. and obviously, the first delay and questions asked about could we expect further complication, and they cannot say without confidence that the first day goes well that the second batch of hostages would go on time. so we are in a fluid situation, and we have to see if the truce happens on time, and if the release of the second group happens on time, and then whether the second list of hostages whether that exchange can happen on time as well, and all of that remains to be seen. >> yeah, tomorrow is going to be really the template for all of this starting midnight eastern tonight is when we will see this going into effect, and see how smoothly the transfer of the 13 hostages does go. oren, when you were listening, and you heard becky anderson answering multiple questions, and multiple great questions and we will speak to her in a moment, but what path the 13 women and children who are going to be released as part of the temporary truce, and he said he did not want to go into details, but he wanted to make sure that they were safe and secure and also getting the aid into gaza as quickly as possible which is to expected to have included fuel which is something that israel has not allowed to go into gaza, and very concerned about hamas getting their hands on, and that is expected though to be part of the significant aid shipment into gaza. >> absolutely. he asked is fuel part of what is going on, and he said all types of aid would go in, and i don't know if he specifically said fuel, but that is clearly the implication of fuel going in which is needed to power the hospitals and the sewage and the treatment facilities, which is critical part of the agreement as we have focused understandably so on the palestinian and israeli hostage releases. but he said the goal is to create a concrete environment. so the overarching goal is to create safe and surrounding environment for the hostages to move and the israeli hostages to come out of israel, and so the red cross will take them and transfer them to the idf. he asked how many of the hostages are still alive, and he said, we have no verifiable information on the number of hostages alive, and that an open question as we are looking at first 50 women and children to come out. >> that is key. and we have becky anderson who was in the press conference and asked multiple great questions and the key one is what happens if one side breaches this agreement, and what is result of that, and what stood out to you from the qatari official? >> it was an interesting answer, wasn't it. he said that this has to be a cessation of hostilities completely on both sides on the ground and for periods of time in the air. he made it very clear when asked about drones in the air, and surveillance drones in air, he said specifically in the period of the hostages being released there would be no surveillance drones flown. we know, because we have had two what we might call proof of concept episodes where we have seen two sets of hostages released of course, the american mother and her 17-year-old some weeks ago, and two elderly israeli citizens, we know that there were drones in the air at the time, and he suggested that it can be very confusing. it can make feel like there may be some hostile activity in the air. so certainly in the periods of the time when the hostages are being released the skies will be clear. the air space over the hostages will be clear. let's just be very specific about what we learned today, kaitlan. this truce starts at 7:00 a.m. local gaza time, and that 12a or midnight eastern time. at some point after 4:00 in the afternoon. so 9:00 a.m. eastern time. we will see those 13 hostages, and the names have been shared with the mossad on the israel side, and the reciprocal on the hamas side, the palestinian side, and lit happen at the same time, and even though the spokesperson for the ministry of foreign affairs here couldn't say exactly how many hostages would be exchanged. after that, every day, there is going to be a list shared with both sides on those who will be released every day at around the same time so assume for it to be around 4:00 in the afternoon gazan time, four days to take us up to effectively 50 hostages women and children. after that, he reminded us that the proposal, the deal includes an opportunity for hamas to come good on its agreement and for every ten extra hostages released, and the understanding is that they are holding 70 to 80, there is an extra day of this pause, this cessation of hostilities for this brief period of time. so, lots of good detail from the ministry of foreign affairs here today, and important detail, because although we knew that deal had been agreed to, there were lots and lots of things that were still unclear until we heard from the minister at this press conference today. >> yes, that is key, becky, the optimism from the qataris that it could potentially go on for longer that on the four days, and there is good reason to be skeptical here, but we will see when it is put into effect. thank you, becky anderson and, kate, this is the news that the families were waiting for at midnight tonight, the temporary truce is going to go into place, and based on what we have heard, if everything is going to go to plan, 24 hours from now, we will see 13 women and children civil hostages released by hamas in gaza. >> kaitlan, thank you so much, and to remind everyone of the breaking news, this is a big moment that we are looking at right now. the news is midnight tonight eastern time, and 7:00 a.m. local the truce sets in, and 4:00 p.m. local, and 9:00 p.m. eastern around, the hostages will begin to be released, and as israel has confirmed they have a list in hand of the 13 hostages to be first released. 13 women and children are now just hours away hopefully from ending weeks' long nightmare. we are going to be speaking to the family, to a family member of two of the hostages that are currently being held by hamas in gaza. we are connecting with him right now, and get his reaction to this very big news of what we are hearing of now a time and date of when the hostages could be released. we will take you there next. and the break news. midnight tonight, and 7:00 a.m. local time, the truce sets in. and then 9:00 a.m. round about, the first hostages are set to be released from hamas captivity. 13 women and children are to be released in the first day. this is huge news especially to the families of the estimated 236 hostages kidnapped by hamas terrorists on october 7th. joining me is gil dickman and his sister is being held among the hamas right now. and gil, what is your reaction to the news coming out from the qatari officials? >> i consider it good news, because we were hoping for a deal that might happen yesterday, yesterday night and then start to release the hostages today, but the fact that it happens tomorrow is the beginning of a new thing, and maybe it is the opening of a new better deal later. >> the prime minister's office has confirmed that they have the list of the hostages of the 13 women and children who are set to be released tomorrow. and also, the prime minister's office put out a statement, gil, saying they are communicating with the families of the kidnapped while they are examining the details of the list. has your family received any notification or word? >> as far as i know, my family has not received anything, and we, i have to tell you that i don't expect, we don't really expect our hostages to be on the list for the first few days, because yardan is 36 and her child is not with her, and i think that they will go with the little children first, but you never know water error organization like hamas, you can expect anything. >> the way that the statement from prime minister ifs said, it seems that they are communicating with all of the families of all of the hostages is what it seemed to come across as, and so i wondered if that communication was -- because when you are thinking about it, gil, you are all part of the family now, and you are all suffering same way, and you are all waiting -- >> let me just update you that i have received a message and that we are contact and that jordan and camilla are not on the list. so, we have many new relatives on the new family, and i am excited about the new kids and hostages coming home, but after saying that i cannot believe anything until i see them free and home. it is a terror organization, and this war has been horrible, and they have done horrendous things to the people, to the people of be'eri, and so we want to make sure that everything is okay. >> so i mean, this is really happening in realtime as we are speaking, you receiving word from your family, that your family has been contact and given the news that your cousin and sister-in-law, camilla, and jourdan, they are not part of that first group. do you think they are part of the first group to be released tomorrow, are you concerned that diminishes the chances of being released? >> i actually don't think so. we weren't expecting them to be released tomorrow. i don't really -- i don't know, i want them to be released as quickly as possible and the day after tomorrow or the days after, but the fact that we rr not expecting them to be released specifically tomorrow, and to me, it does not diminish the chances to be released at all. the way i see it, they are all going to be released. they are all going to be released in tend, and the end is near. we are working on it, and we are happy to have a deal, and we will do everything that we can so it happens really fast and all free and we hope they are all alive and well. >> gil, watching the press conference out of qatar, there is a surreal nature to it, because it is very official press conference happening, but talking about at the core is that israel having to put their trust in and having to make a deal with a terrorist organization, and the same people who stormed into israel and brutally murdered 1,200 people having this official looking press conference to work out the contours of trusting the same people to let your cousin and sister-in-law get to safety. how do you wrestle with that? >> i have to tell you that watching this on cnn right now, that is one of the most surreal feelings that i can remember, and the last 48 days were all surreal. he was talking about it and so calm like he is talking about some business exchange between two parties, two organizations, and when what we are talking about is human lives ash it is horrible that we are even discussing it this way. and you are right about the trust. as i said before, i can't really trust a terror organization that killed mid aunt seven weeks ago, and how can ki trust what they promise? so this is why what we trust is what we see. when we see the hostages free and alive as we expect them to be, then we can talk about trust and maybe even trust them on next deals, and i'm really, really -- i really hope that we can do this. i hope that a deal could be made, and that would be a really amazing picture for israel is to see finally after seven week of horrible news, finally some good news, finally that the kids are going back to their parents and home, and it is going to feel like, to people, it is going to feel like my kids are back, and feel like it is their own kids, and the hostages in all of israel. >> and hearing question, and it is an important question to ask, and true statement of what we are dealing with here, and the question of asking the qatari official to confirm to be released on the list are alive, and this is just like hit me straight in the gut. >> i have to tell you that i cannot trust this, but i think that they will play with us all of the way with psychological terror, and they are going say things tlik idf hit some of the hostages on the way, and they are going to make all of the tricks in the horrific horrible book to make us suffer as much as possible. they have no limits as they showed on october 7th. but i really, really hope that we can make it happen anyway. >> you talked about how you will be celebrating, all of you will be celebrating when hopefully, god willing the women and children do come out, and this continues. but there is also a lot of talk of, it is just the beginning of a very long road for all of these hostages. i mean, first and foremost, you have to assume that carmel and yarden have no idea of the scope of the disaster and the massacre that occurred and the devastation that occurred on october 7th, and have you and your family started to talk about what you need to do to prepare to help them in what is going to be a really long road? >> well, this is a very good question, and the word celebration is not going to describe what this is going to be looking like. we won't celebrate, because carmel's mother was murdered that day, and we have to tell her about that, and this is one of the first things that we will have to say to her and we have not planned how, and i hope that we are going to have help from health service or any other services in israel of how to tell her that news. the fact that many other hostages are going to stay there for longer than carmel, but longer, i really, i hope it is not that long, and i hope that this happy picture of people coming home is going to make the next deal come faster in a way so that finally, finally, all of the hostages are coming home. i know that i am saying that a lot. it is just that it is so important for us. 240 hostages were taken or kidnapped october 7th, and we are not letting go, and we are not going anywhere any of us going anywhere until 240 are back home. >> gil, thank you for jumping on to speak with me. empty words, it feels like, but i am sorry that carmel and yarden are not part of the first group, but we continue to hold out hope. >> thank you. we will hope for good news. >> exactly. danny. >> kate, thank you for the interview. really, really powerful. still to come, oversea, 13 women and children are hours away from ending a weeks' long nightmare. stay witith us. this time tomorrow morning, 13 women and children being held captive by hamas right now in gaza should be in the process of being freed. qatari officials say a truce between israel and hamas starts at midnight tonight eastern time, and the hostages will be released starting around 9:00 a.m. tomorrow. and now, on this news, some detail of what we have gotten of what this exchange looks like as the former deputy of intelligence beth spanner, and allison kim dozier, and mark kimmon, and thank you all for being here. and beth, what is the reaction of what we saw laid out by the qatari officials of what this process is going to look like? >> i guess i will skip ahead a little bit, because i think that tomorrow looks very good, but as each day progresses, it is going to be harder and more challenging. it is clear from the way that the qataris laid out this plan that their goal is very, very divergent from where the israeli goal is in the end. the qataris want to extend this indefinitely and lead this to a peace agreement, a full cease-fire, and israel is absolutely in a different place, and so i think that this does become much more complicated as each day goes by. >> it is an excellent point, because the prime minister himself definitively saying that the war continues last night, and the mission remains to demolishand, general, in terms of the truce, and how it holds, and so, tonight, the truce is to set in at midnight. and our reporter b er becky and asked what constitutes a breach in the truce, and the qatari official did not answer, but is it clear what constitutes a breach, and what happens if they do? >> well, what would happen is there is going to be some undisciplined fire from perhaps an individual hamas soldier that may or may not agree with what is going on here, and he may be trying to lure the idf into firing back. it happens so often in the tentative cease-fires around the world. i think that is not going to return the situation to a full combat operation, but as was said in the press conference, they would do everything to contain that type of violation. i think at this point, both sides want this pause to stay in place during the hostage exchange. >> and what does a pause beget a pause is the question, kim, because the former head of mossad said that it is going to be much harder for the idf to restart the fighting operation once this truce sets in, for one, because he believed the mounting international pressure to start building to bring about a slowdown. the idf and the prime minister have assured though, they will return to operations, the mission continues. what do you think of this? >> well, israel has said this agreement expires after ten days, and the white house briefed us that they are hoping that if the first four days go well, each of the additional days could lead to more hostage exchanges possibly up to ten days, but turning war back on is going to be really hard for israeli government, because there is going to be pressure from the hostage families to keep this going, to keep the exchanges going, because hamas militants are not going anywhere, and they are stuck inside of gaza, and so what is difference of waiting another 10, 20 days to prosecute the war versus earlier. >> beth, netanyahu, and the role of the red cross was brought up in this press conference with the qatari officials, and he essentially said that the red cross has a role in accepting the hostages and kind of facilitating that. but there is also then netanyahu saying that the red cross, he said, the expectation is that will be allowed to visit the hostages who remain behind, and remain in gaza, an even offer some medical support to the hostages, but the red cross, the confusion sets n because the red cross says they are not aware of that agreement at although ready to help in any way, and do you see the hamas letting the red cross in? what do you see the role here? >> well, hamas will do what it sees in its interests, and how it views that in term of extending the cease-fire indefinitely and giving itself time to regroup, and trying to present itself as the good guys here, you know, which is very hard for us to see, right, but i think that when you are looking ate from the arab world, it looks different, so i think that it is a actually happening in a way that hamas tries to twist it into something positive for them. in the end, getting the irc in there is the right thing and the good thing to do, so we will have to see how this goes. >> and exactly, and we have to apply that to everything, we will see how it goes. we will see how the next 24 hours plays out. one thing that we did hear clearly from the podium today, general kimmett, is that this deal applies only to the gaza strip, and the general made clear that hezbollah is not party to the agreement or truce, and israel has made no truce commitments regarding israel's northern border. how does hezbollah, and do you see hezbollah trying to capitalize on this truce? >> i really don't. the real key to what hezbollah is thinking is when it is coming out from nasrallah. two weeks ago on friday he made a significant speech saying that we don't want to get involved in this, because it is a palestinian affair, and we applaud what they are doing, and i believe they are looking out into the water looking at a u.s. carrier there, and discretion is the better part of valor on his part. but if they do, that completely changes the dynamic of this war, and takes it well outside of this localized event inside of gaza, and turns it into a much larger event. >> additionally, with all of this is the statement, and -- and beth was getting at this, kevin -- it is the divergent goals of the qatari official to what we have heard over and over again from israel is that the qatari officials are saying that the way he put it today is that it constitutes first glim mer o light at the end of the tunnel with the conflict that this is leading to a lasting truce, and expanding the pause, and israel has made very clear, netanyahu has made very clear that they were going to take out the hamas. they will demolish hamas, but the question continues to remain, is it possible? this is qatar's role so be the interlocutor and to continue the speak across the arab world some of the criticism of israel's criticism has come from the qatar's al jazeera's network, and so that message is not so surprising, but the thing is that hamas is going to be tested right now, and do they have the command and control to actually get to all of the hostages and comply with all of the rules as they vset out over the next fou days. you are right, after that, the israeli government says it will pursue hamas, and many of the regional officials expect that, and some even desire that. hamas is an offshoot of the muslim brotherhood that egypt overthrew in the coup, and so they just can't say it publicly, but they want to get the hostages as many as possible out, and then israel is going to do what is it going to do, but nobody is going to say that publicly. >> and we will see what it looks like when the truce sets in midnight, and what it looks like when the first 13 hostages to be released as part of the agreement happen tomorrow morning. thank you, guys, very much. and coming up next a car goes airborne and burst into flames at a major checkpoint. what officials are saying about the deadly incident. a young jewish man says he was falsely accuse of being an undercover agent at a neonazi group, and he is suing elon musk for defamation. what he wants from the billionaire. this morning, the rainbow bridge crossing at the canadian/u.s. border remains closed after a fiery car crash, but there is no link to terrorism they say. you can see it on the screen, the speeding car is going airborne before it crash and exploded at the checkpoint. in the vehicle was a man and wife, and they both died. the borders and protection said they were injured at the time. >> reporter: they are trying to piece into what happened when a car crashed into a secondary check point at the u.s./canada border causing shutdown of one of of the four land crossings on the busiest day of the year. on video provided by law enforcement, you can see the car going at extreme rate of speed and jumping a curb and barrier. >> at first i saw something going airborne and i said, oh, my god, it is a car. it is flying through the air. >> reporter: they believe it is a 2022 bentley. the sources they the car coming from the u.s. side of the border from the rainbow bridge went through the initial checkpoint just before noon. passports and licenses were checked before the car was directed to a secondary checkpoint for a search. just before, a explosion occurred. and there was a massive explosion that covered the area in smoke for hours. >> this vehicle incinerated, and nothing left but the engine, and the pieces are scattered over 13, 14 booths. and so it is a large scene. >> reporter: the sources say a man traveling to canada with his wife to attend a rock concert by kiss, but going to the casino in the u.s. instead when it was canceled. they say that the couple left the casino according to cnn. and a border patrol person in the booth was also injured. the fbi said no ties to terrorism or explosive materiel was found. >> we believe it is something that occurred. there is no larger picture to look at. >> all traffic from u.s./canada halted for hours leaving the holiday travelers stuck for hours. >> we came to see the falls, and we walked over, and our car is in new york right now. >> reporter: the rainbow bridge where the accident took place is remaining closed, but the other three crossings are open. >> we don't know how long it is going to last. we can't go home. >> reporter: so frightening few hours here on the eve of thanksgiving and one of the busiest travel days here at the u.s./canada border, but no links to terrorism or explosives found. authorities believe it is a tragic accident, and what is remarkable about this, it is am increased terrorism, and law enforcements are on heightened alert, and it is remarkable how quickly the fbi and other law enforcement partners opened and closed this investigation determining there was no terror link, and this individual did not have any nefarious intentions, and just a very, very sad occasion. okay, there is still more to be found out with this investigation handed over to local police, and it will be investigated as a traffic accident. >> after all that, and you see the video so scary, but it is a traffic accident. thank you, athena. all right. coming up next, more court trouble brewing for elon musk, and hear from a young jewish man who is suing x over a tweet on elon musk's platform. stay with us.
