Palestinian officials says the only Power Station in gaza has stopped working. Hospitals, expected to run out of fuel for their generators in the coming day. The weekend Terror Attacks by hamas it is across israeli politics, and with the announcement of an Emergency Government and a wartime cabinet. The people of israel are united. Now, the leadership is to. We have put aside our differences because of the fate of the country is on the line. We will work together, shoulder to shoulder, for the sake of our citizens of israel. But one of the biggest obstacles to peace between israelis and the palestinians is always extremely us on both sides have always been able to determine how this conflict plays out. And it seems like now we are seeing that play out at large. Absolutely, as you said we have been living under the pressure of extremism here. You mentioned hamas, its good to mention israel has been run by a very extreme government including who declared palestinians should have no, no state, they should either emigrate, or accept a level of subjugation or die. This extremism has of course led to this explosion. But the main root cause that is never been dealt with by several Israeli Governments the continuation of the israeli illegal got condition of palestinian land. Who is not this occupation which is 56 years old, the longest in modern history has transformed into a system of apartheid that represses every palestinian. Today of course the issue is not that israelis attacking hamas only, the israeli airstrikes and the enrich Israeli Bombardment is attacking civilian palestinian population and gaza. They are dehumanizing hamas, but in the case they are demonizing of palestinians. When theres 2. 2 Million People living in less than one point 140 square miles, with 50 of the 2. 2 Million People are children. The result is drastic. The way out of this is to immediately have a cease fire, immediately deescalate, immediately have an exchange of prisoners, so those israelis are who are held in gaza will come back safe. In exchange for releasing some Palestinian Prisoners who have been in jail, some of whom have been in jail for 43 years. No ones talking a ceasefire at this point, no ones talking really seriously about a Prisoner Exchange in the moment. And thats unfortunate. It will play out as this will play out. One thing i think is important to mention here is that the militant group Hamas Which Controls Gaza is no friend to the Palestinian Authority in ramallah. A fattah Political Party of Mad Mahatma Abbas as often clashed with hamas. How concerned are you right now with this outpouring of sympathy for israel and the outpouring of condemnation for what hamas did which was horrible, that now palestinians arent all out being swept up as being hamas . And then your standing which as many palestinians work very hard, to establish palestinians at a credible, viable alternative state. That is now being swept away by the brutality of the weekend . It shouldnt be and just sending out israeli propaganda, some of which is absolutely incorrect will not solve the problem. Dehumanization of all palestinians will not solve the problem. Look, we have been under occupation for so many years. We have not seen a day of freedom for 56 years. And many of us, especially the 70 of the people in gaza who are refugees who are displaced by israel 75 years ago. Israel has already conducted five wars on gaza. Did that and hamas . Could that end violence . Did that and the situation . Of course not. Now they are gonna have a huge Ground Invasion, something that is totally in, unacceptable even according to guterres the secretary of the United Nations who says you cannot impose total blockade on gaza. Now israel is preventing food, fuel, water, electricity from the people of gaza. I received calls every day from patients in gaza who are about to die because they dont have access to dialysis, and children in incubators who could die because there is no electricity. Besieging a whole population is not a solution. Striking on children and women because of a terrible air strike is not a solution. Let me warn you. A very important dangerous point is what israeli leaders are calling for, which is effecting the 2. 2 Million People in gaza to egypt. Creating a very serious matter of ethnic cleansing One More Time against the palestinian people. This will not lead to peace. This will not lead to peace. Even if the United States is fully supportive of it. The only thing that leads to lasting peace is a negotiated settlement. But who will lead the negotiations. Who blocked the negotiations all these . His was netanyahu. Because he signed a Peace Agreement with palestinians. Robin was extreme assassinate by and israeli extremist. Netanyahu blocked all negotiations with palestinians. I just want to and on positive solution. The twos been on life support since distant memory. It is always darkest before dawn. Are you even the slightest bit hopeful that once the worst is over that there will be this realization that they can only be lasting peace through a negotiated settlement between the palestinians and israelis . Absolutely and although it might sound strange at this time let me tell you, we have struggled very hard all our lives to have a Two State Solution. Unfortunately netanyahu made his best to kill it by sending settlers to the lions illegally. This may now sound strange now. I think the only way out of it is immediate Two State Solution or we will have to change it one Apartheid State Reality that israel has created, because the other apart i State Reality is a democratic one State Reality. There is no way the palestinians will give up their struggle for freedom and there is no way i know to continue this inhuman situation. Either we have a Two State Solution as soon as possible or we will have to be together with equality, but palestinians have to be treated equally. As Israeli Soldiers regain control of areas in the south, as they go from community to community, it seems the atrocities go from bad to horrendous. We have those discoveries been ongoing, is there an update to what weve already heard in the last 12 hours or so . Yes, the update is that yesterday during the Day International media was allowed access together with the Israeli Soldiers, basically embedding with that operation and they went into a Community Called Kibitz Bianchi and found more than 100 body bags of a resilient israeli civilians, men, women, children, elderly, many babies and really saw the scope and magnitude of the atrocities, including mutilation of bodies and people that were burned inside homes. Really horrendous, horrendous scenes that i am at a loss of words really to describe how cruel those scenes were. And all the years of conflict between israel and hamas, has there ever been anything close to this level of brutality . Not only in the many years of conflict between hamas and israel, i cant recall anything in all of the history of israel. We have fought many wars against Arab Military and of course there have been many many sad vile reports of mutilations a bodies of her Israeli Soldiers that happened long before the war of independence in 1948. But those were soldiers fighting. Of course it cannot be understood and condoned but on the battlefield, here we are talking about civilians. That is what is so astounding in this event that as every day goes by, we see more and more bodies and the remains of bodies. You wonder why and how and what hamas would think they would gain from behaving like this. Yes, its a good question once we that we dont have an answer for right now. Just move on. What is the latest on possible safe passage out of gaza for foreign nationals . For those negotiations stand right now . I hear reports about that concerning egypt and concerning the u. N. I understand that it is a topic that also Secretary Blinken will be dealing with. I think that the key here lies reaching understandings with egypt and understanding what is possible and what they will be willing to accommodate. And we will see how that situation unfolds. Clearly the humanitarian situation inside the gaza strip is of concern and needs to be dealt with. If anybody wants to put actions to words and really cares for safety or the wellbeing of palestinians should really be concerned with allowing a passage for them. And with that in mind, whats the latest and allow humanitarian supplies into gaza, especially now that theyre only Power Station is out of fuel and not operational. Is israel willing to allow food, fuel another medical essentials into the gaza strip . First of all there is no way of getting anything in because most of the infrastructure that supports that kind of thing, gas pipes, and roads from israel into gaza were severed by the terrorists. Beyond that, im not aware of any change in israeli policy as we go to the issue of providing fuel, electricity, Water Et Cetera for the very same enemy that is fighting us. Im not aware of any change in policy. If that happens, and of course the idf well executed. Because as of now, the situation remains as it was before. So essentially right now and gaza, there is no differentiation between hamas militants and Palestinian Civilians . Of the aisle being treated as the same . No, what we are as we are at war. We are fighting against a Terrorist Army that uses all of the infrastructure, the infrastructure that is supposed to be there for the civilians, he uses that infrastructure for military purposes in everything that he does. And the rockets that they fire, and the attacks that they launched against our communities, they hide underneath all of that infrastructure. So from a Military Point of view, im not saying for me human point of view, but from a Military Point of view, we are looking at hamas as the governing entity of the gaza strip, and we are not going to be providing electricity, water and fuel for them to be able to fight against us. Right now theyre seems to be no agreement on what hezbollah will do. There seems to be limited confrontations if you like. Hezbollah sort of keeping its powder dry in many ways. Whatever hezbollah decides to do how bigger a role will that have in determining the direction of the war . Its not just hezbollah, but theres a confrontation with israel and hezbollah, so both sides have to make a decision whether to get involved in an active war or just tofortat symbolic actions. Reality is that hezbollah and israel have been actively at war on and off for about 20 years or so. They both have immense capabilities, Technical Firepower Et Cetera and determination. And they realize that theyre pretty evenly matched in many ways. Israel is still a bigger army with hezbollah has become extremely sophisticated. So they both know if the war starts, its going to be massively destructive for civilian and for infrastructure, both in lebanon and in israel. A four for ten years or so theyve had a detente, but a deterrent relationship that is choose essentially on the lebanese israeli border. If Somebody Shoots across there, the other proves shes back, and the color go, they cannot, if they killed three people as happened today, the other side kills three people. And thats where i think its going to stay. So i guess it comes down to the question now the relationship between these groups. How closely is hezbollah working with hamas . Theres a report in Foreign Affairs this as officials in hamas, hezbollah and irans quds force have been waiting regularly in lebanon and tarrant for years. Following the 20 1 21 rocket reported that hamas hezbollah and iran coordinate the fighting from a joint war room in beirut. How would you describe the relationship between hezbollah and hamas . Its hamas a junior partner. Out of that work . They both have very strong ties with iran, and hezbollahs shane wright is mostly she, a massive sunni muslim. But theyre very close ideologically and they realize if they work together, we have much more impact. Its obvious to anybody that after hezbollah got tremendous technical and capabilities with a red, plus capabilities have now been shared with hamas either directly or through iran or through third parties with the houthis in yemen. Who knows how. How they do their coordination we dont know. A very secretive and theyre very good at Keeping Secrets now. But they clearly form what they call a Strategic Deterrent front. They have one or two other partners in the regions like the houthis in yemen and smaller groups and they see themselves as fighting for the same cause. John kirby once again had this warning to israels enemies. Bottom line is, we are sending a loud and clear message that the United States is ready to take action to any hostiles for israel to try to escalate this war. So for groups like hezbollah, how much weight does that threat actually carry . Its likely to have any impact on their decisionmaking process . And when iran heres at what they say . United states is good at many things, but its not good at very diplomacy or warfare in the global south. So the u. S. Acts tough to support israel, its always done that but i dont think these kind of statements influence very many people in the region. If iran or hezbollah wanted to do something, unamerican threat would probably not stop them from doing it. I think the reality that neither iran nor hezbollah want to start a bigger war. The United States is historically obsessed with iran for some reason. Thats always has to have a needle bad guy a menace in the region, used to be iraq, used to be the russians, is to be alqaeda and other groups. Now its around. Its ironic that the u. S. Negotiated an agreement, a very good agreement with iran Nuclear Issues and sanctions but iran is seen in the u. S. Public speaker as a real terrible menace, almost as bad as chinas u. S. s eyes. So they keep playing, overplaying this sense of we are going to stop iran from doing this and doing that, and iran shows no sign of being wanting to involved in the war. Palestinian Health Ministry says at least 51 people were killed and more than 280 wounded overnight. Gaza is now in near total darkness as its sole Power Station shutdown will have to run out of fuel. The Biden Administration says military aid to israel and ukraine remain Top Priorities but, cannot act until Chris Nominates a speaker. Steve scalise was nominated for the job, but republic republicans are growing fearful that Steve Scalise bid for the speakership gets much smaller. He needs 217 republicans to support him for the speakership. During the republican nomination, he won 113 votes and three of those votes or from not voting delegates. We do expect dozens of those people who voted against police and voted for congress and jim jordan to support scalise on the floor, but there are a number of others who say they will vote for Jim Jordan On The House floor even though jordan himself has urged his supporters to back scalise and and this paralysis in the house and the aftermath of that unprecedented vote last week to oust Kevin Mccarthy from the speakership. But even despite those calls from jim jordan, a member of republicans we have talked to are making clear they still plan to vote against scalise on the floor, making it incredibly difficult in the moment to win the speakership. Im talking to different people in different camps. We are figuring out where they are, and i would be conservative, this moderates, democrats and figuring out what the next steps might be. Now the timing of the vote is still uncertain. Republicans came out of the wednesday meeting hoping to have a vote for wednesday afternoon maybe even evening time to elect scalise as a speaker. That did not happen. It remains a possibility as well but if scalise does not have the votes, the question is does he go to the floor . To see dare republicans to vote against them for a single nomination. Does he grinded out like Kevin Mccarthy did back in january when the speakership went up to 15 ballots . All key questions for scalise. There is just no path for him to get the nomination to get the speakership and believe that perhaps another candidate could emerge down the line.
